Pulmonary hamartoma are common benign tumor of lung. These are composed of variable components of cartilage, fat, smooth muscles and respiratory epithelium. Most patients are asymptomatic with few present with pulmonary symptoms. The neoplasm is less common in young with surgical excision being the treatment of choice. Histopathology revealed the true pathological nature of the tumor.

Osteochondroma is a common benign tumor in adolescence but is unusual in elderly age group with atypical site of presentation as proximal radius. Osseous lesions at the level of proximal forearm have often lead to limitations in movements and impingement on surrounding soft tissue structures. Here, we describe a case of a 61 year old female who presented with gross restrictions of forearm rotations with progressively increasing swelling over the proximal forearm. Imaging studies hinted at an osseous lesion with a cartilaginous cap. Surgical excision was done due to rapidly growing mass with functional restrictions. Incidental adjoining bursitis was seen intra-operatively and histopathology conrmed the diagnosis. Patient regained full range of motion and was asymptomatic postoperatively at 8 weeks. Atypical presentations though rare, are a possibility and so surgeons should be aware for appropriate management of these tumors.

Pulmonary hamartoma is the most common benign tumor of the lung. We report the case of a healthy, 46-year-old woman with an incidentally discovered chondromatous hamartoma, which has been excised thorascopically. She developed hamartoma within a year.

Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) which is also called as Giant cell Epulis is one of the most common reactive hyperplastic lesions of the oral cavity. There are various etiologies relating PGCG which include local irritation, trauma, tooth extraction, irregular restorations, plaque, calculus, chronic infection & impacted food. One important other etiology of this benign tumor is its origin from periosteum or periodontal membrane. Excision of the lesion completely along with extraction of involved tooth is the option of treatment to prevent recurrence of the lesion in some cases. This case report describes the recurrence of the Peripheral giant cell granuloma even after complete excision in 3 months.Management of recurrent Peripheral giant cell granuloma by surgical excision of the lesion was carried out along with extraction of the associated tooth and curettage of the bone walls. Profuse bleeding after tooth extraction was managed by gel-spun. Periodic recalls doesn’t show any recurrence until one month.

Myofibroma is a benign mesenchymal neoplasm composed of myofibroblasts which has been described with different synonyms since the first report in 1951. It occurs most commonly as a solitary lesion of soft tissue, skin, or bone in infancy. The prognosis of oral myofibromas is excellent, and surgical excision is curative. Recurrence is rare. Awareness and recognition of this benign tumor is important to establish the correct diagnosis and avoid morbidity of unnecessary aggressive therapy. This report describes a myofibroma of the gingiva in a 14 year old girl and is reported together with the conventional histologic, and immunohistochemical findings. The tumor showed rapid increase in size and clinical features suggestive of malignancy. However, on histopathologic evaluation it was diagnosed as a benign neoplasm, and this diagnosis was supported by immunohistochemical markers. The spindle cells were immunopositive for smooth muscle actin, and vimentin but were negative for desmin and S-100 protein. The patient was treated with surgical excision, and is followed-up for 33 months without any signs of recurrence.

Eccrine syringofibroadenoma is a rare, benign tumor of eccrine ductal differentiation, typically presenting in the extremities. Herein we report a case of a 77-year-old man with pain in the lateral midfoot and the presence of an eccrine syringofibroadenoma lesion in the lateral heel. On surgical excision of the lesion, the foot pain promptly resolved, and at the most recent follow-up visit, the patient remained pain free.

Objectives. The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiological, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of adult laryngeal papillomatosis in Senegal. Patients and Methods. This is a retrospective descriptive study of patients aged above 18 years with laryngeal papillomatosis and followed at the ENT department of the NUH of Fann between 01 January 2009 and 31 December 2018. Results. The mean age at diagnosis was 37.74 years and a sex ratio of 0.93. The 20–29 age group was the most represented (45.2%). The average consultation delay was 8.34 years. All patients had dysphonia at the moment of the diagnostic and in 35.5% of cases, and it was associated with laryngeal dyspnea. Glottis localization was present in all our patients, i.e., 100% of the cases. A tracheotomy was performed in 9.67% of cases. All of our patients have had their papilloma peeled per endoscopic with tweezers. No cases of malignant degeneration were found in our study. Conclusion. Laryngeal papillomatosis is the most common benign tumor of the larynx in both children and adults. Despite the progress of endoscopy and antiviral treatments, its treatment poses many problems in our undermedicalized countries.

ABSTRACT Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common benign tumor of the salivary glands and has both epithelial and mesenchymal tissues. It most commonly arises from the parotid or submandibular glands. Rarely, it arises from the minor salivary glands. We report here a case of pleomorphic adenoma arising from the soft palate and both sides of anterior tonsillar pillars in a 75-year-old man. This patient was presenting painless slow growing large swelling in the soft palate over 20 years causing mechanical obstruction of airway and food. The entire tumor mass was excised along with overlying mucosa. How to cite this article Swain SK, Sahu MC, Tripathy R. Abstract Chorangioma is the most common benign tumor of the placenta. Tumors larger than 5 cm can cause adverse fetal outcomes. We describe the case of a term infant presenting with acute respiratory failure due to fetal heart insufficiency. In this particular case, the presence of a multifocal chorangiomatosis causing fetal heart failure was not diagnosed prenatally by ultrasound but first by the histopathological report of the placenta.

Osteoid osteoma (OO) is a common benign tumor of the bone and is typically treated by thermal ablation with computed tomography (CT) guidance. Only a few cases of multicentric OO have been described. We here report the case of an 11-year-old boy with multicentric OO of the right femur treated with laser ablation under open high-field MRI guidance. The steps of the interventional MRI procedure are described, discussing the benefits and disadvantages of MRI versus CT guidance especially with regard to younger patients.
