Abstract ALCOA 7021 ALLOY is offered for the automotive bumper and bumper reinforcement market in the O temper (annealed). This is a stable temper ready for forming by the customer, after which solution treatment and artificial aging develop desired properties in the formed part. Having strength comparable to many high-strength low-alloy steels, ALCOA 7021 ALLOY can give a 63% weight saving in the beam applications. Abstract UNIFLUX V90 is a continuous flux-cored welding electrode (wire) developed to weld high-strength low-alloy steels, but it may be used to weld other low-alloy steels and carbon steels.
