Abstract A CAD-based fault diagnosis technique for CMOS-LSI with single fault using abnormal IDDQ has been developed to indicate the presence of physical damage in a circuit. This method of progressively reducingthe faulty portion, works by extracting the inner logic state of each block from logic simulation, and by deriving test vector numbers with abnormal IDDQ. To easily perform fault diagnosis, the hierarchical circuit structure is divided into primitive blocks including simple logic gates. The diagnosis technique employs the comparative operation of each primitive block to determine whether one and the same inner logic state with abnormal IDDQ exists in the inner logic state with normal IDDQ or not. The former block is regarded as normal block and the latter block is regarded as faulty block. The fault of the faulty block can be localized easily by using input logic state simulation. Experimental results on real faulty LSI with 100k gates demonstrated rapid diagnosis times of within ten hours ani reliable extraction of the fault location.

based on the explanation of the connotation of the fault diagnosis technique, this paper introduced the application status of the main fault diagnosis technology of the weapons in both domestic and overseas, also points out the single fault diagnosis technology showed great limitations to the maintenance of the modern weapons. Researching and using the hybrid fault diagnosis technology is a development trend for the weapon maintenance both at present and in the future.

Abstract Due to the development of smaller and denser manufacturing processes most of the hardware localization techniques cannot keep up satisfactorily with the technology trend. There is an increased need in precise and accurate software based diagnosis tools to help identify the fault location. This paper describes the software based fault diagnosis method used within Philips, focusing on the features developed to increase its accuracy.

To address deficiencies in the process of fault diagnosis of belt conveyor, this study uses a BP neural network algorithm combined with fuzzy theory to provide an intelligent fault diagnosis method for belt conveyor and to establish a BP neural network fault diagnosis model with a predictive function. Matlab is used to simulate the fuzzy BP neural network fault diagnosis of the belt conveyor. Results show that the fuzzy neural network can filter out unnecessary information; save time and space; and improve the fault diagnosis recognition, classification, and fault location capabilities of belt conveyor. The proposed model has high practical value for engineering.

As for this problem that the equipment/devices maintenance and troubleshooting of new avionics systems is very difficult, the fault Diagnosis Method based on testing is proposed. This method is used to build fault diagnosis model and generate diagnostic testing strategy by establishing the relationship between the fault and test, and then the automatic test equipment is used to test for fault under the reasoning of the diagnosis inference, finally, fault conclusions are drawn. Application shows that this method is feasible, fault location accuracy is high and application prospect is broad.
