The article describes the recent distribution of temperatures of rocks in the roof of Tyumen and Malyshev suites for the whole territory of the West Siberian sedimentary basin. A map of temperature changes in the regional oil and gas bearing horizon U2 was built. The prognosis of the temperatures distribution in the roof of Malyshev suite on the understudied by deep drilling in Arctic areas is made. The analysis of placement of the deposits in the Bath with different phase state of the hydrocarbons is presented.

Based on the data of deep drilling and regional seismic surveys, the correlation of Riphean sections was performed and a map of the distribution of Riphean formations on the pre-Vendian surface was constructed. Three perspective zones for the search for oil and gas deposits have been identified.

It is shown that the evolutionary-catagenetic model for calculating the initial potential hydrocarbon resources can serve as a scientific basis for the separate quantitative prediction of areas of oil-and-gas content. In this case retrospectively evaluated are the scales of generation and accumulation of hydrocarbons in the source rocks during catagenetic evolution of sedimentary basin. The authors propose a method, the results of evaluation of generation and accumulation scales and initial potential oil and gas resources for major oil-and-gas bearing complexes of Dzhebol stage.

The article discusses the controversial issues of well log correlation of the Riphean, Vendian, Cambrian and Mesozoic sequences, which is prospects for oil and gas within the Aldan-Maya petroleum region. The author's version of the stratigraphic correlation is based on the interpretation of logging data, seismic surveys, core description, archival and published materials. The results obtained can be used for stratigraphic picks correction and structural maps plotting.

The article deals with the results of a comprehensive study of the geothermal conditions of oil and gas bearing deposits in the western part of Yenisei-Khatanga regional trough. Four types of vertical geothermal zonality are established, the characteristics of which depend on the geological evolution of different parts of the sedimentary basin. The minimal geothermal gradients (1,80–2,2 0 C/100 m) are established there in the near edge zones with a small thickness of the sedimentary cover and the development of the infiltration system. The maximum gradients (3,2–3,4 0 С/100 m) are established in the zones of disjunctive tectonics, which had a significant heating effect on the geological section due to the ascending discharge of groundwater from deep-lying aquifers.

Abstract The formation of the deep oil and gas bearing horizons hydrogeological conditions in the Middle Ob region and the West Siberian megabasin as a whole contains many questions and is a subject of discussion. This is due to numerous hydrogeodynamic and hydrogeochemical anomalies that do not have an unambiguous explanation. The hydrogeological conditions feature of the area under consideration is inversion hydrogeochemical zonation in the Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic sediments, as well as the presence of low-mineralized formation waters of hydrocarbonate-sodium composition. The change in the genetic type of waters, the mineralization decrease, the calcium ion content decrease and an increase in the hydrocarbonate ion amount in the Mesozoic hydrogeological basin, is associated with the transformation of mineral and organic matter in sedimentary rocks during their immersion, occurring at the elision stage of the basin development.
