Nevus sebaceous is a congenital epidermal hamartoma characterized by hyperplastic changes to the epidermis and adnexa. Nevus sebaceous is associated with an elevated risk of cutaneous neoplasms, most often benign; however, malignant neoplasms, most notably basal cell carcinoma, can also present in these patients. Although a rare occurrence, more often affecting adult patients, squamous cell carcinomas have also been reported to arise at the site of pre-existing nevus sebaceous. Herein we report a unique case of a patient with basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma arising concurrently in the same nevus sebaceous.

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis is a systemic necrotizing vasculitis that affects the small- and medium-sized blood vessels. The diagnosis can be challenging since the clinical and imaging findings have similarities with infection, and malignancy. Serologic and histopathological investigations often help confirm the diagnosis. However, this can be falsely reassuring. We present a unique case of the coexistence of vasculitis and squamous cell carcinoma in the same cavitating lung mass. The case highlights the importance of recognizing changes in disease behaviour early to allow for timely management.

Mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNEN) are an heterogeneous subgroup of rare neoplasms. Triple componed MiNEN associating neuroendocrine tumor, adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are rarely described in the literature. Here we present the unique case of a 56-year-old women with neuroendocrine tumor, adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the duodenum

This study was about a 70-year-old man with progressive dysphagia. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed a 1.2-cm circumferential ulcerative mass at the level of 23 cm from the upper incisors in the upper esophagus. The mass was first diagnosed as a poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. McKeown esophagogastrectomy was performed with intention to treat the lesion. The pathological examination showed an esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma that was mixed with squamous cell carcinoma component. In this report, we present a unique case of the extremely rare esophageal neoplasm, an esophageal neuroendocrine carcinoma with squamous cell carcinoma component.
