Background: Awareness of the relationship between anger and aggression in the sports performance of athletes can be useful in sports psychology to identify the sports population angrier, unable to control their anger, and in need of anger management interventions. The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of emotion regulation in the relationship between anger intensity and self-expression in competitive athletes. Materials and Methods: The present correlational study was carried out based on structural relationships using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The statistical population of this study consisted of all competitive athletes (i.e., all the athletes participating in any level of competitive sports, either individual or collective) in Ardebil, Iran, in 2019. Out of all the participants, 312 athletes were selected through cluster sampling and included in the study. The Clinical Anger Scale, internal and external anger subscales of the Multidimensional Anger Inventory, and Emotion Dysregulation Scale were used to collect data. The data were analyzed by SPSS software (version 22) and PLS-SEM. Coefficients between paths, standard error, and t-statistic were utilized to investigate the direct and indirect effects. Results: The obtained results showed that emotion dysregulation mediated between the intensity of anger and its externalizing expression or aggression (i.e., behavioral avoidance) and between the intensity of anger and rumination/suppression of anger (i.e., cognitive avoidance). Conclusion: Based on the obtained findings, it can be said that athletes who are not able to regulate their emotions in competitive situations are more likely to outwardly express their experienced anger.

Today, paying attention to employees and aligning their features and capabilities with the brand is of great importance for organizations in competitive environments. According to previous studies, factors such as competency, satisfaction, and commitment have been used as mediators between HRM and the brand of the organization. The statistical population of the study consisted of 270 employees of different branches of social security insurance in Alborz province. The sample size was determined based on Morgan's table and 220 questionnaires were distributed and 159 correct questionnaires returned. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by an interview with industry experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient at 0.854. Confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling (SEM), AMOS and SPSS software were used for data analysis. The results showed that the conceptual model of the research has good fitness. After examining 9 direct hypotheses and 3 hypotheses with mediating variables, it was concluded that the main research hypothesis about the relationship between HRM and brand and 6 other hypotheses was positive and significant. Also, the relationship between HRM with competence and competence with the brand was not significant and the variable mediating role of competence between HRM and brand is not confirmed, but two variables of commitment and satisfaction can play a mediating role in the relationship between HRM and brand. Therefore, organizations can enhance the brand of the organization by measuring, planning and continuously improving HRM indicators and adopting strategies to increase employee commitment and satisfaction, and increase customer satisfaction by increasing sales and profits.

Abstract Attention Deficiency and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as a predictor of injuries in motorcyclists, affects the risky behavior. Since there was no pre-established conceptual model, this study aimed at exploring a conceptual model. Following this model, the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to find the predictors of Motorcycle Riding Behavior (MRB), as well as the mediators and moderators of ADHD-MRB relationship. In the current cross-sectional study, 340 motorcyclists in Bukan city, Iran, were recruited through a randomized cluster sampling. A simple conceptual model was explored and utilizing the goodness of fit indices in SEM, an optimal model was chosen. Then, utilizing 3-step hierarchical regressions and SEMs, the relationship between ADHD and MRB was assessed by modeling the possible mediators/moderators such as answering the cell phone and using the helmet. The results of hierarchical regression showed that answering the cell phone had both moderating and mediating effects on the relationship between ADHD (and the ASS subscale) with MRB. The final SEM, by introducing the mediating role of underlying variables, had a good fit on data (Normed Chi2 = < 5.0, RMSEA < 0.08, SRMR < 0.05, CFI and TLI > 0.90), wherein ADHD score (and the subscales) predicted the MRB score directly/indirectly (P < 0.05). A simple conceptual model was found to assess the mediating role of ADHD in motorcyclist risky behavior. Based upon the findings, training the techniques of and/or enforcement for controlling and improving riding behaviors and skills among ADHD motorcyclists, those who answer their cell phones while riding, un-experienced riders, and those who ride without wearing the helmet is strongly recommended.

Coaching has often been viewed as a context within which coaches operate to largely bring about changes in athlete’s performance and flourishing. One key factor to successful outcomes in coaching is the quality of the relationship between coaches and athletes. The coach–athlete relationship is at the heart of coaching; however, limited studies have been conducted on its antecedents. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between coaches’ forgiveness and perceived relationship quality toward their athletes through verifying the mediating role of interpersonal behaviors of coaches. A total of 270 Iranian coaches participated in the survey, and the data sets were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results revealed that forgiveness positively predicted the coaches’ perceived relationship quality with their athletes, and this pathway was mediated by the coaches’ interpersonal behaviors.

The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between online sale and customer value co-creation. In addition, to identify the mediating role of E-Satisfaction and E-Trust in the relationship between the online sale and customer value co-creation. This study selected a sample of 364 customers who shopped from the Modanisa website in Jordan, and a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach was applied in this study to suit the nature of the study and to achieve the desired goals. This approach is based on showing the variables' relationship with each other. In this study, the relationship between online sale and customer value co-creation was influenced by E-trust and E-satisfaction. As per the results have indicated the foregoing, the analysis exhibited a favorable relation between them. E-trust impacts online sale and customer value relationship CO-creation, E-satisfaction affects the connection between the customer and online sales value. In addition, this study proves that online transactions contribute to the CO-creation of customer value for Modanisa. The customer value of CO-creation is, however, influenced by online purchases by E-trust and E-satisfaction in the Modanisa site. The findings of the study show that consumers with the higher online sale are far more committed to rising customer value by enhancing E-trust and E-satisfaction.

Entrepreneurial passion is seen as a valuable predictor of entrepreneurs' behavior and performance. We explored what makes entrepreneurs passionate by adopting a qualitative research method from a social support perspective. To test our hypotheses we conducted a survey with 287 young entrepreneurs in China. Using structural equation modeling we studied the impact of three types of support from the family on entrepreneurial passion. The results show that financial support and social capital support had a stronger influence on entrepreneurial passion than did emotional support. Further, psychological capital played a partial mediating role in the relationship between family support and entrepreneurial passion. This study enhances the integrity of previous research conclusions on entrepreneurial passion and, in particular, provides further insight into the development of nascent entrepreneurs and their new businesses.

Aim: The aim of this study was to explain the relationship between self-differentiation and forgiveness with marital satisfaction based on the mediating role of religious orientation. Methods: The research method was descriptive-correlational and the statistical population included all married teachers working in the sixth and seventh grade in Tehran's 6th educational district, with a total of 4,080 people, among whom 28 schools and 304 volunteer teachers were randomly selected. To collect research data, the following tools were used:  Differentiation of Self Inventory by Skowron, E. A., & Schmitt (2003), Family Forgiveness Scale by Pollard, Anderson, Anderson & Jennings (1998), Religious Orientation Questionnaire by Allport & Ross (1967), and ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale by Fournier, Olson & Druckman (1983) were used. After deleting 10 distorted questionnaires and 3 outliers, structural equation modeling was used for data analysis. Results: In this study, the direct path coefficient between internal religious orientation and marital satisfaction (P<0.01, β=0.337) was positive and significant at the 0.01 level. Indirect path coefficient between self-differentiation and marital satisfaction (β = 0.149, P <0.01) and indirect path coefficient between forgiveness and marital satisfaction (P <0.01, β = 0.129) were positive and significant at 0.01 level. Conclusion: Since internal religious orientation can be effective in improving relationships and marital satisfaction, it is suggested that in marital counseling, strengthening the religious beliefs of couples be used.

Leader humor plays an important role in organizations because it affects employees' attitude and behavior. The positive effect of humor in organizations has been widely touted; however, research on the effect of leader humor on employee creativity is still rare. This study addressed how leader positive humor affects employee creativity and whether work engagement mediates this relationship. Data were collected from 233 supervisor–subordinate dyads in 23 Chinese hightech companies. Results of structural equation modeling indicate that leader positive humor was positively related to work engagement, and that work engagement was positively related to employee creativity. Additionally, work engagement mediated the relationship between leader positive humor and employee creativity. Thus, organizations should encourage managers to use positive humor to enhance employees' engagement at work, which will, in turn, lead to creative outcomes. This research extends understanding of the leader positive humor–employee creativity relationship.

This study proposes to study the nature of the relationship between competitor orientation, a strategy based on low prices and hotel business performance, and to test if a low-price strategy plays a mediating role in the relationship between competitor orientation and business performance. A structural equation modeling approach is used, and a sample from the Italian hotel industry is used to evaluate the proposed hypotheses. Results show that competitor orientation is positively related to business performance and to a strategy based on low prices. Furthermore, it is found that a low-price strategy has adverse effects on business performance. Additionally, the mediating role of the low-price strategy is not confirmed.

PurposeThe aim of the current study is to empirically assess the effects of organizational flexibility on project portfolio (PP) performance, with the mediating role of innovation and moderating effects of environmental dynamism (ED) and absorptive capability (AC).Design/methodology/approachData were collected from 173 manufacturing firms and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with the help of a partial least squares (PLS) approach.FindingsResults show that innovation partially mediates the relationship between organizational flexibility and PP performance. Furthermore, the moderating effect of ED between organizational flexibility and innovation was analyzed. Additionally, AC also observed as a moderator between innovation and PP performance.Originality/valueBased on the resource-based view, this study contributes to the literature by addressing the roles of innovation, ED and AC in the relationship between organizational flexibility and PP performance. Implications for managers also discussed in the end; for example, to be more competitive, they should incorporate flexibility into the firm to encourage innovation. It also emphasizes to select new innovative opportunities that correspondingly have effects on the PP performance.

Purpose This study aims to evaluate the effect of workplace ostracism on organization-based self-esteem (OBSE), organizational silence and knowledge sharing. Design/methodology/approach The statistical population of this research includes the employees of University of Isfahan in Iran. The structural equation modeling method is used to analyze the data and the conceptual model using 130 participants. Findings The empirical results suggest that ostracism and organizational silence influence knowledge sharing, negatively. Ostracism influences organizational silence, positively; and ostracism influences OBSE, negatively. Furthermore, organization-based self-esteem influences knowledge sharing, positively. In addition, the indirect relationship from ostracism to knowledge sharing through organizational silence was confirmed; however, the mediating role of OBSE in the relationship between workplace ostracism and knowledge sharing was not confirmed. Originality/value This research is among the first to evaluate the relationship between workplace ostracism, knowledge sharing, organizational silence and OBSE simultaneously.
