A person's addiction to smoking can be seen from the characteristics of the cigarette addict, including: difficulty controlling the desire to smoke, high appetite, frequent coughing, sleep disturbances, and difficulty concentrating. A person's addiction to cigarettes can have a bad impact on the health of that person. The research used the Fuzzy Mamdani method. The system was built using the Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) programming language. The database management system uses My Structured Query Language (MYSQL). The criteria for the level of community addiction to cigarettes are cost, smoking frequency, and the environment. This study aims to design a Decision Support System for determining the level of community addiction to smoking and applying the Fuzzy Mamdani method for determining the level of community addiction to cigarettes. So it can be concluded that the person's level of addiction is at number 13 or categorized as CANDU.

The article is devoted to the substantiation of the structure of the decision support system for the simplification of control procedures at road checkpoints across the state border. As a result of the research, the structure of the decision support system for simplification of control procedures at road checkpoints is proposed. The structure is based on the analysis of the border control process at road checkpoints and technological features of its simplification, analysis of decision support models for the organization and technology of border control simplification, as well as analysis of problematic aspects of their implementation and identification of possible solutions. The article substantiates that the basis of the database management system models of the studied decision support system should be a model for determining the need for simplification of border control at road checkpoints, a model for determining the duration of simplification of border control and a model for selecting appropriate control actions for individuals and vehicles. queues. The basis of the database management system of the studied decision support system should be databases relating to the situation at the checkpoint, which changes dynamically over time, the characteristics of the queue of vehicles, tactical and technical characteristics of those vehicles from which the queue may be formed. car checkpoint, departmental database "Gart - 1 P", a database concerning the rules of crossing the state border, a database of information signs of offenses at the state border and risk profiles.

The condition of sewer pipes in North America has severely deteriorated, over the last few decades, creating a need for rehabilitation. Sewer rehabilitation methods are numerous and are constantly being developed, benefiting from emerging technologies. The implementation of these methods is driven by the need to improve quality and to reduce cost and project duration. One of the rapidly expanding fields in the sewer rehabilitation industry is trenchless technology. Due to the large number of methods associated with emerging new technologies in this field, selecting the most suitable method can be a challenging task. Selection in this environment, without a computerized tool, may also suffer from the limited knowledge and (or) experience of the decision-maker and could result in overlooking some of the suitable methods that could do the job at less cost. This paper describes a recently developed system for rehabilitation of concrete and clay sewer pipes and focuses primarily on two of its components: (i) the database management system (DBMS) and (ii) the decision support system (DSS). The system can assist municipal engineers and contractors in selecting the most suitable trenchless rehabilitation technique that specifies job conditions and user requirements. An example application is presented to demonstrate the use and capabilities of the developed system.Key words: pipe defects, rehabilitation, sewer pipes, database management systems, decision support systems, multi-attribute utility theory.

Abstract. The difficulty in knowledge representation of a water distribution network (WDN) problem has contributed to the limited use of artificial intelligence (AI) based expert systems (ES) in the management of these networks. This paper presents a design of a Decision Support System (DSS) that facilitates "on-demand'' knowledge generation by utilizing results of simulation runs of a suitably calibrated and validated hydraulic model of an existing aged WDN corresponding to emergent or even hypothetical but likely scenarios. The DSS augments the capability of a conventional expert system by integrating together the hydraulic modelling features with heuristics based knowledge of experts under a common, rules based, expert shell named CLIPS (C Language Integrated Production System). In contrast to previous ES, the knowledge base of the DSS has been designed to be dynamic by superimposing CLIPS on Structured Query Language (SQL). The proposed ES has an inbuilt calibration module that enables calibration of an existing (aged) WDN for the unknown, and unobservable, Hazen-Williams C-values. In addition, the daily run and simulation modules of the proposed ES further enable the CLIPS inference engine to evaluate the network performance for any emergent or suggested test scenarios. An additional feature of the proposed design is that the DSS integrates computational platforms such as MATLAB, open source Geographical Information System (GIS), and a relational database management system (RDBMS) working under the umbrella of the Microsoft Visual Studio based common user interface. The paper also discusses implementation of the proposed framework on a case study and clearly demonstrates the utility of the application as an able aide for effective management of the study network.

Ecological security is the basis of the sustainable development. Based on the concept of ecological security, The framework and subsystems’ functions of decision support system for mining area’s ecological security are put forward. The support system, which gets data by methods of remote sensing(RS),geographical information system(GIS),global positioning system(GPS), survey data, statistics data and experiment data, being mainly composed of database management system, knowledge management system and models management system, can make regulating and controlling decision for mining area’s ecological security.

Spatial decision support systems can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making about the zinc status of soil. In this paper, we present an interactive spatial decision support system (ISDSS), identifying the zinc deficiency zone(s), thus enabling the decision-maker to take appropriate measures for correcting zinc deficiencies in soil. The system can display a contour map of the required Block, District, or State of West Bengal along with information about the quantity of zinc to be added to the soil, if the available zinc is not sufficient for a particular crop. The ISDSS consists of a non-spatial database management system and corresponding spatial database, a model base management system, and a user interface. The ISDSS is developed using the scripting language EASI (Engineering Analysis and Scientific Interface) under the GIS software tool, SPANS (Spatial Analysis System). The system runs under the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Abstrak: Fungsi date dalam melakukan manipulasi data dengan bahasa query merupakan fungsi yang diperuntukkan bagi data, variable atau field yang berkaitan dengan data tanggal dan dapat pula diterapkan untuk data dari tanggal sistem komputer yang sedang aktif. Fungsi tanggal dalam SQL (Structured Query Language) meliputi fungsi DateAdd, DateIff, DatePart, DateName  dan GetDate. Data Manipulation Language (DML) merupakan bahasa basis data yang berfungsi untuk melakukan penelusuran data pada suatu basis data didalam DBMS (Database Management System) diantaranya melakukan insert data, delete data, update data dan penelurusan data (query). SQL (Structured Query Language) terdiri dari sintaks sederhana dalam bentuk instruksi-instruksi dalam melakukan manipulasi data, instruksi tersebut sering disebut dengan query. Sedangkan untuk proses query merupakan kemampuan untuk melakukan penelusuran data dari basis data, data yang ditampilkan bisa dari satu atau lebih tabel, dimana kolom-kolom yang dipilih bisa kita tentukan sendiri. Pada penulisan ini akan dibahas tentang bagaimana melakukan operasi query untuk fungsi date dengan menggunakan SQL Server 2008. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengambil studi kasus database Nilai Mahasiswa yang telah terbentuk diagrammnya beserta isi datanya. Selanjutnya bagaimana melakukan operasi dengan menggunakan fungsi DateAdd, DateIff, DatePart, DateName  dan GetDate untuk melakukan penelusuran data  dengan menggunakan DBMS SQL Server 2008.   Kata Kunci: Fungsi date, DML, Query, Sql Server 2008,  Nilai Mahasiswa.   Abstract: The date function in manipulating data with the query language is a function that is intended for data, variables or fields relating to date data and can also be applied to data from the date of an active computer system. Date functions in SQL (Structured Query Language) include DateAdd, DateIff, DatePart, DateName and GetDate functions. Data Manipulation Language (DML) is a database language that functions to search data in a database in a DBMS (Database Management System) including inserting data, deleting data, updating data and searching data (query). SQL (Structured Query Language) consists of simple syntax in the form of instructions in manipulating data, these instructions are often called queries. As for the query process, it is the ability to search data from a database, the data displayed can be from one or more tables, where the columns we choose can be determined by us. At this writing will be discussed about how to perform a query operation for the date function using SQL Server 2008. The initial step is to take a case study of the Student Value database that has been formed diagramm along with the contents of the data.
