The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of trust antecedents on the intent of transactions in mHealth applications. The antecedents of trust included perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived quality, perceived safety, and perceived Covid 19 risks. Perceived risks of COVID19 were also examined for moderating effects on the relationship between trust and m-Health transaction intention. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach. Our surveys are distributed online via the Lime Survey app. 253 respondents responded to the questionnaire according to the criteria. Results showed that the antecedents that had a significant impact on trust were perceived usefulness (P = 0.012), perceived quality (P = 0.002), and perceived safety (P = 0.000). On the other hand, the perceived ease of use (P = 0.566) and the perceived risk (P = 0.871) did not significantly affect trust. Trust (P = 0.000) and perceived risks of COVID19 (P = 0.011) directly affect m-Health transaction intention. The study also found that the perceived risk of COVID19 did not impact the consumer trust in m-Health but directly impacted transaction intention.

Purpose Global digital payment transactions increase continuously. Due to the inconsistencies that occurred across the research findings, past researchers have called for further investigation to verify and empirically test the mobile payment acceptance model. The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrative model that is derived from the multiple technology acceptance models (TAM)’s a theoretical framework and past literature to understand how consumers decided to adopt mobile payment. By simultaneously testing mechanisms, namely, ease of use, usefulness and risk, the current study will be able to advance scholarly knowledge of the underlying consumer’s attitude and behavior that link social influence to intention to use. Design/methodology/approach A total of 370 valid responses were collected using self-administered questionnaires distributed via online platforms, a representative for Thai consumers. An ordinary least square regression and bootstrap analyzes were conducted through PROCESS Macro to analyze the moderated serial-multiple mediation model in the consecutive inducing of social influence, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived risk toward the consumer’s intention to use mobile payment. Findings Within the context of consumers evaluating a mobile payment, statistics significant were found for the hypothesized direct and indirect effects of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on an intention to use. The results showed that Thai consumers’ intention to use mobile payment was significantly affected by their attitudes in terms of usefulness and the less complication in using the applications. It is confirmed that social influence indirectly affects intention to use via the increase of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. The study also found a significant interaction between perceived risk and perceived usefulness toward intention to use. Practical implications It is recommended to service providers to continue improving the user-friendliness, navigation, integrity and furnish the system with more value-added activities within the mobile payment application. It is also essential for the company to deliver tutorials and clear and easy-to-follow instructions to customers. At the same time, the marketer should develop marketing strategies to promote the usefulness and simplicity of using the applications to the consumers. When consumers experienced the easiness and usefulness of the applications, these could overcome the resistance feeling to use due to the concern on any potential risk. Originality/value The study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on consumer usage behavior and TAM by integrating all important variables and developed a parsimony framework to explain consumers’ usage adoption on mobile payment. Moreover, the current study was the very first that proposed and tested a serial of multiple mediations of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, moderated by perceived risk, in the relationship between social influence and consumers’ intention to use mobile payment and discovered a moderating role of perceived risk toward the relationship between perceived usefulness and mobile payment usage intention.

In this paper, I analyse the impact that a perceived lack of an installed base has on the adoption of technological products. I use the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which considers perceived usefulness and ease-of-use as the central drivers of adoption and propose that the perceived lack of an installed base influences these two drivers. Based on cue utilisation theory, I further suggest that a perceived lack of an installed base can serve as an extrinsic cue of product quality deficiencies and difficulties with obtaining help and advice. In order to verify the supposed effect of a perceived lack of an installed base, I survey 162 households. The data shows that a perceived lack of an installed base of thermal solar systems (1) decreases their perceived usefulness and perceived ease-of-use and (2) acts as a mediator of the perceived risk. The study implies that managers launching technical innovations should develop strategies to influence consumers' perceptions of the current and the future installed base and communicate the development of the installed base to trigger adoption.

This study explores the impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease-of-use, and perceived risks of using electronic tax filing (e-Filing) on the intention to use e-Filing through a technology acceptance model framework. The theoretical foundation used in this study is the technology acceptance model (TAM) on 201 valid questionnaires completed by Indonesian taxpayers. The data collected was analyzed by structural equation modelling using SmartPLS (3.0 Version). The results of the study revealed that e-Filing’s perceived usefulness and risk were significantly associated with intention to use, while perceived ease-of-use did not have a significant effect. Although the influence of perceived risks significantly mediated the influence of perceived usefulness, it did not significantly mediate the influence of ease-of-use. Gender was found to significantly moderate the influence of e-Filing’s perceived usefulness, but not to moderate the influence of perceived ease-of-use. Importance-Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) finds that the intention to use e-Filing is most strongly influenced by its perceived usefulness and perceived risk. This implies that policymakers must highlight the perceived usefulness and communicate the perceived risks of e-Filing to ensure taxpayers are willing to use the system. To the best of the author’s knowledge, this study is the first to examine both mediation and moderation to analyze the adoption of technology in Indonesia’s taxation system and offer a policy perspective through IPMA.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors affecting mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. Design/methodology/approach The authors use a cross-sectional survey research design to empirically examine the factors affecting mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. The study sample consists of 269 respondents aged between 23 and 30 years from India. Findings The findings of the study suggest that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived credibility (PC) and structural assurance (SA) are strong determinants of user satisfaction (US) and behavioral intention (BI) to use the mobile banking service. US was found to partially mediate the relationship between PU, PEU, PC and SA and BI to use the service. Perceived risk was found to be statistically insignificant in terms of its relationship with BI to use the service. Research limitations/implications The results of this study provide good evidence for banks to further revamp their work practices in the area of mobile banking to enhance the overall penetration of mobile banking in India. Originality/value The study identifies factors influencing mobile banking adoption among young Indian consumers. Furthermore, this study suggests that US partially mediates the relationship between factor influencing mobile banking adoption and BI.

E-commerce is an emerging market and a developing research field in Iran. The main factors influencing the Iranian consumer's intention towards shopping apparels online are of utmost importance, which the authors are aimed to study. The framework developed for accomplishing this task is created combining constructs of Trust and Perceived Risk with the Technology Acceptance Model which tries to demonstrate the relationship between those two constructs and the subcomponents of TAM including Attitude, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Ease of Use and the strengths of these relationships. The findings of this study illustrate the importance of Trust which is proved to have significant direct relationship with Intention and Perceived Risk which has both direct and indirect relationships with Intention. The impact of Perceived Risk is even more critical once the cultural dimension of the country put into account. It is concluded that minimizing the risk of online shopping along with maximizing the trust in this purchasing method plays a main role in adoption of online shopping.

This study investigates the impact of technology innovation on tax administration in Nigeria. Primary Data were collected through the use of structured questionnaire administered on 219 staffers of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to elicit their responses. Descriptive statistics, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Regression Model were used for the data analysis. The R value depicts that the use of information technology accounted for (76.3%) improvement in tax administration in Nigeria. The results strongly support the TPB in predicting the intention of users to adopt electronic tax-filing systems. The results also demonstrate the significant effect that computer self-efficacy has on behavioural intention through perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk of use. Based on the findings of this study, implications for electronic tax filing are discussed. Finally, conclusion and recommendations were made based on the findings of the study.

FinTech rises as a faster, easier, and cheaper alternative to conventional financial products and services in Indonesia. The largest FinTech sub-segment in Indonesia is payment systems, representing over 30% of overall FinTech startup community. Consumer confidence and trust are essential to acquire and retain users and increase transaction volumes for FinTech companies. Therefore, in the expectation that a better understanding of factors that shape consumer behavior can promote the development of FinTech payment system, the goal of this research was to examine consumer perceived risks and trust in FinTech payment systems in Indonesia. The data generated from 175 respondents were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Using trust as the mediating variable, this research concludes that there is a significant relationship between perceived risk and intention to use Fintech payments. Perceived ease of use is also found to be the antecedent of trust. In addition to that, this study also suggests that consumer trust and intention have positive impacts on a good evaluation of FinTech payment with objective opinions on the future of FinTech payment.

The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of the environmental and organizational moderators on farmers’ e-commerce adoption behaviour. Data were collected from 384 wheat farmers in Kazakhstan. Descriptive analysis and multiple group analysis findings revealed that environmental (i.e. government) and organizational moderators had an insignificant effect on the relationship of the dependent variables (between behavioural intention and usage behaviour). However, there is a positive impact of the environmental (i.e. government) and organizational moderators on the relationship between the independent variables (Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, Facilititating Conditions, Compatibility) and dependent variable (behavioural intention).

Today, Coronavirus is a pandemic that has spread worldwide and causes many problems, including socio economic problems in society. Therefore, e-marketing has an essential function in acquiring new customers, generating leads, and generating revenue for your business by reaching customers interested in your products and services. A digital platform such as web marketing is online marketing to prospective leads and high-value consumers. Thus, the present study examined the usage of e-marketing as a model for buying decisions moderated by perceived risk during the covid-19 pandemic in Aceh Province, Indonesia. This quantitative study involved 325 respondents and was collected through a survey by filling out the questionnaires. Also, e-marketing is measured by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use as exogenous variables. Therefore, perceived risk is a mediating variable, and the consumer buying decision is an endogenous variable. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling – Analysis of Moments Structure (SEM-AMOS). The results showed that e-marketing (perceived usefulness and ease of use) positively and significantly affects consumer buying decisions. This study also applied the Sobel test and indicated that perceived risk mediates perceived usefulness and ease toward consumer buying decisions. In conclusion, this study has successfully examined the relationship between e-marketing via perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Also, it proves that perceived risk plays a mediating role (partial mediator) in the relationship of perceived usefulness and ease of use on consumer buying decisions. This tested model has become a formulation, especially in marketing science, where it turns out that during the covid-19 pandemic, the buying decision model in the marketplace is a function of the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of consumers towards the marketplace, as well as the perceived risk of the marketplace as a partial mediator. So that marketplace manufacturers can drive consumer buying decisions by consumers by creating a strengthening of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for consumers, thereby affecting consumers' perceived risk and impacting their buying decisions.

As a result of the increase in global climate change and the development of social networks, the study of ecotourism and the impact of social networks has been getting greater attention. Nonetheless,research examining the impact ofsocial networks on ecotourismhas been limited. This study investigates the relationship between ease of use, perceived usefulness, wordof-mouth (WOM), perceived trust, and tourist attitude towards ecotourism, and examines the moderating role of perceived risk on these relationships in the context of Vietnam. The regression analysis was conducted with data from answers of 231 respondents. The results show that perceived trust has the largest impact on tourist attitude towards ecotourism, which is followed by perceived usefulness. WOM communication has the least impact. The study also highlights the role of perceived risk in moderating the relationship between social networks and tourist attitudes.
