The article discusses the concept of fuel system’s mathematical modeling based on certification requirements. A detailed description of the safety of aircraft operation, taking into account the standard of airworthiness, and methods for conformity assessment of certification has also been presented. The development concept modeling is not possible to without a methodology to construct an integrated mathematical model which presents a solution using a one-dimensional and three-dimensional functioning model. The combined calculation in a one-dimensional and three-dimensional setting allows the modulating of the refuelling process with drainage system, signaling and centralized fuelling management process. Also as the calculation results of simulation of fuel flow from tanks when one pump fails are shown. Dynamic simulation of fuel production from tanks for calculation of static change fuel static moment and geometric modelling of non-working and non-poured remainder also presented. The article analysed fuel system requirements. This conformity can be met using a complex of mathematical modeling tools.

The containment thermal hydraulics of a small reactor during loss of coolant accident (LOCA) is studied by a lumped parameter one-dimensional model and a three-dimensional model. The capability of a kind of heat exchanger type passive containment cooling system (PCCS) is analyzed by the one-dimensional model. The calculation results show that, the decay heat can be removed and the containment pressure can be decreased by the proposed PCCS. The steam and non-condensable gas (the air) distribution in the containment is investigated, the mixing and stratification behaviors are analyzed for several different cases, in which the PCCS and condenser are located at higher, base or lower position. The sensitivity analysis of the PCCS elevation shows that, in despite of the different gas stratification, the containment pressures are nearly the same. Similar conclusions can be obtained by the one-dimensional model and three-dimensional model. The preliminary results may indicate that, the designed PCCS and condenser can be located at a lower part, which will be benefit for the economy of the small reactor or meet other requirements.

At present, the problem of general thermal modernization of building envelopes is given much attention both at the level of scientists and consumers. This is one of the effective ways to reduce natural gas consumption, reduce the negative impact on the environment, maintain and improve comfortable indoor conditions. Over the last decade, the population has rapidly begun to insulate their homes in order to raise the indoor air temperature to a comfortable level in the multi-storey residential sector. Due to insufficient attention of the authorities in the housing and communal sector, the lack of scientific research and widespread public awareness, there is a massive thermal insulation of building by residents of multi-store buildings within their own apartments. But the study of thermal processes that occur in individual thermal insulation of enclosing structures is currently not fully completed. Therefore, in the context of significant increases in gas and electricity prices, this problem is relevant. In the study was carried out mathematical modeling of a fragment of a partially insulated wall of an enclosing structure with determination of heat flux by solving a three-dimensional differential equation of thermal conductivity with boundary conditions of II, III and IV kind and distribution of characteristics of building structures and insulation. These results can be used in the analysis of the efficiency of insulation of the building taking into account the fragmentary insulation and of comparison with systemic thermal modernization. As a result of modeling, the three-dimensional temperature fields of wall surfaces, are determined, there are additional heat fluxes (thermal bridges), which are not considered in the simplified one-dimensional calculation. In one-dimensional calculation, the heat flux from the wall is reduced by 2.43 times during insulation. Taking into account the total heat flow from the side surfaces near the window (thermal bridges) and system insulation - by 1.75 times. With fragmentary insulation and considering the total heat flux from the side surfaces near the window - by 1.6 times. The next stage of calculations is the determination of the actual air temperatures in the premises of a multi-storey building considering the actual condition of enclosing structures and heating systems, heaters, mode parameters of the coolant and outdoor air parameters. The methods and means of this analysis can take into account the final data of heat loss adjustment after the mathematical modeling presented in this paper. In consequence, the results will be taken into account in the projects of thermal modernization of buildings, reconstruction of heating systems, rational placement of sources, selection of equipment and regulation of devices.

The synaptic connections in cat retina that link photoreceptors to ganglion cells have been analyzed quantitatively. Our approach has been to prepare serial, ultrathin sections and photograph en montage at low magnification (˜2000X) in the electron microscope. Six series, 100-300 sections long, have been prepared over the last decade. They derive from different cats but always from the same region of retina, about one degree from the center of the visual axis. The material has been analyzed by reconstructing adjacent neurons in each array and then identifying systematically the synaptic connections between arrays. Most reconstructions were done manually by tracing the outlines of processes in successive sections onto acetate sheets aligned on a cartoonist's jig. The tracings were then digitized, stacked by computer, and printed with the hidden lines removed. The results have provided rather than the usual one-dimensional account of pathways, a three-dimensional account of circuits. From this has emerged insight into the functional architecture.

The relation between authoritarianism and social dominance orientation was analyzed, with authoritarianism measured using a three-dimensional scale. The implicit multidimensional structure (authoritarian submission, conventionalism, authoritarian aggression) of Altemeyer’s (1981, 1988) conceptualization of authoritarianism is inconsistent with its one-dimensional methodological operationalization. The dimensionality of authoritarianism was investigated using confirmatory factor analysis in a sample of 713 university students. As hypothesized, the three-factor model fit the data significantly better than the one-factor model. Regression analyses revealed that only authoritarian aggression was related to social dominance orientation. That is, only intolerance of deviance was related to high social dominance, whereas submissiveness was not.

The rain intensity is the high rainfall in unit of time. The length of rain will be reversed by the amount rain intensity. The shorter time the rain lasts, the greater of the intensity and re-period of its rain. The value of rain intensity is required to calculate the flood discharge plan on the drainage system planning area in East Karawang district. Determining the value rain intensity is required the maximum daily rainfall data obtained from the main observer stations in the Plawad station planning area. The method of determination rain intensity analysis can be done with three methods: Van Breen, Bell Tanimoto and Hasper der Weduwen. Selected method is based on the smallest deviation value. Determination deviation value is determined by comparing rain intensity value of Van Breen method, Bell Tanimoto, Hasper der Weduwen. By comparing rain intensity value of the Van Breen method, Bell Tanimoto, Hasper der Weduwen with the results of calculating three methods through the method approach Talbot, Sherman and Ishiguro. Calculation results show that the method of rain has smallest deviation standard is method Van Breen with Talbot approach for rainy period (PUH) 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 years.

The article discusses methods for determining the hydraulic resistance of units of an accident-resistant fuel system. A detailed description of the need to create such fuel systems for modern helicopters is given. The development of such systems today is impossible without the use of the method of mathematical modeling, which allows to qualitatively solve problems arising in the design process. To obtain accurate research results, it is necessary to have a complete description of all elements and assemblies of the system. Methods for determining the hydraulic characteristics of AFS elements using the drag coefficient, reference literature and CFD codes are considered. As the investigated AFS units, a drain valve and burst fitting were studied in the article. A hydraulic calculation of these AFS elements ware performed, the simulation results are presented in the ANSYS CFX software package. Also as the calculation results of bursting fitting, the pressure distribution fields of full and static pressure, velocity and streamlines are also shown. An experimental setup for validating the results obtained using the mathematical modeling method is considered, as well as a methodology for conducting a full-scale experiment to determine the hydraulic resistance of the unit. Materials have been prepared for inclusion in a one-dimensional mathematical model of an accident-resistant fuel system.
