In this article, we provide new formulas to compute the reduced reciprocal randić index, Arithmetic geometric1 index, SK index, SK1 index, SK2 index, edge version of the first zagreb index, sum connectivity index, general sum connectivity index, and the forgotten index using the M-polynomial and finding these topological indices for a boron triangular nanotube. We also elaborate the results with graphical representations.

The Zagreb indices are the oldest among all degree-based topological indices. For a connected graph G, the first Zagreb index M1(G) is the sum of the term dG(u)+dG(v) corresponding to each edge uv in G, that is, M1 , where dG(u) is degree of the vertex u in G. In this chapter, the authors propose a weighted first Zagreb index and calculate its values for some standard graphs. Also, the authors study its correlations with various physico-chemical properties of octane isomers. It is found that this novel index has strong correlation with acentric factor and entropy of octane isomers as compared to other existing topological indices.

A chemical graph theory is a fascinating branch of graph theory which has many applications related to chemistry. A topological index is a real number related to a graph, as its considered a structural invariant. It’s found that there is a strong correlation between the properties of chemical compounds and their topological indices. In this paper, we introduce some new graph operations for the first Zagreb index, second Zagreb index and forgotten index "F-index". Furthermore, it was found some possible applications on some new graph operations such as roperties of molecular graphs that resulted by alkanes or cyclic alkanes.

In this article, we study the chemical graph of a cyclic octahedron structure of dimension n and compute the eccentric connectivity polynomial, the eccentric connectivity index, the total eccentricity, the average eccentricity, the first Zagreb index, the second Zagreb index, the third Zagreb index, the atom bond connectivity index and the geometric arithmetic index of the cyclic octahedron structure. Furthermore, we give the analytically closed formulas of these indices which are helpful for studying the underlying topologies.

Abstract It is well known fact that several physicochemical properties of chemical compounds are closely related to their molecular structure. Mathematical chemistry provides a method to predict the aforementioned properties of compounds using topological indices. The Zagreb indices are among the most studied topological indices. Recently, three modified versions of the Zagreb indices were proposed independently in [Ali, A.; Trinajstić, N. A novel/old modification of the first Zagreb index, arXiv:1705.10430 [math.CO] 2017; Mol. Inform. 2018, 37, 1800008] and [Naji, A. M.; Soner, N. D.; Gutman, I. On leap Zagreb indices of graphs, Commun. Comb. Optim. 2017, 2, 99–117], which were named as the Zagreb connection indices and the leap Zagreb indices, respectively. In this paper, we check the chemical applicability of the newly considered Zagreb connection indices on the set of octane isomers and establish general expressions for calculating these indices of two well-known dendrimer nanostars.

AbstractIn chemical graph theory, a single numeric number related to a chemical structure is called a topological descriptor or topological index of a graph. In this paper, we compute analytically certain topological indices for H-Naphtalenic nanosheet like Randic index, first Zagreb index, second Zagreb index, geometric arithmetic index, atom bond connectivity index, sum connectivity index and hyper-Zagreb index using edge partition technique. The first multiple Zagreb index and the second multiple Zagreb index of the nanosheet are also discussed in this paper.

In the fields of mathematical chemistry, a topological index, also known as a connectivity index, is a type of a molecular descriptor that is calculated based on the molecular graph of a chemical compound. Topological indices are an analytical framework of a graph which portray its topology and are mostly equal graphs. Topological indices (TIs) are numeral quantities that are used to foresee the natural correlation among the physicochemical properties of the chemical compounds in their fundamental network. TIs show an essential role in the theoretical abstract and environmental chemistry and pharmacology. In this paper, we compute many latest developed degree-based TIs. An analogy among the computed different versions of the TIs with the help of the numerical values and their graphs is also included .In this article, we compute the first Zagreb index, second Zagreb index, hyper Zagreb index, ABC Index, GA Index, and first Zagreb polynomial and second Zagreb polynomial of chemical graphs polythiophene, nylon 6,6, and the backbone structure of DNA.

Graph theory has provided chemists with a variety of useful tools, such as topological indices. A topological index Top(G) of a graph G is a number with the property that for every graph H isomorphic to G, Top(H) = Top(G). In this paper, we compute ABC index, ABC4 index, Randi´c connectivity index, Sum connectivity index, GA index , GA5 index, First Zagreb index, Second Zagreb index, First Multiple Zagreb index, Second Multiple Zagreb index, Augmented Zagreb index, Harmonic index and Hyper Zagreb index, First Zagreb polynomial, Second Zagreb polynomial, Third Zagreb polynomial, Forgotten polynomials, Forgotten topological index and Symmetric division index of vitamin D3.

Abstract The first Zagreb index (occurred in an approximate formula of total π-electron energy, communicated in 1972) and the second Zagreb index (appeared in 1975, within the study of molecular branching) are among the most studied topological indices. Recently, three modified versions of the Zagreb indices were proposed independently in [A. Ali, N. Trinajstić, A novel/old modification of the first Zagreb index, arXiv:1705.10430 [math.CO], 2017] and [A. M. Naji, N. D. Soner, I. Gutman, On leap Zagreb indices of graphs, Commun. Comb. Optim., 2017, 2, 99–117], which were named as the Zagreb connection indices and the leap Zagreb indices, respectively. In this paper, we derive formulas for calculating these modified versions of the Zagreb indices of four well known nanostructures.

The main object of this study is to determine the exact values of the topological indices which play a vital role in studying chemical information, structure properties like QSAR and QSPR. The first Zagreb index and second Zagreb index are among the most studied topological indices. We now consider analogous graph invariants, based on the second degrees of vertices, called leap Zagreb indices. We compute these indices for Tickysim SpiNNaker model, cyclic octahedral structure, Aztec diamond and extended Aztec diamond.
