In this work, an alternative technology to extend wireless coverage beyond the conventional methods of providing radio propagation coverage is presented. The use of a radiating cable is proposed for difficult-to-reach areas. In this regard, an indoor radiating cable is successfully employed for the distribution of an analog electric signal in a fiber-radio scheme using a microwave photonic filter. A filtered microwave band-pass window located at 2.24 GHz is used as an electrical carrier to transmit an analog TV-signal of 67.25 MHz over an optical link of 25.28 km. Measurements are carried out in an indoor environment. Experimental results demonstrate that the recovered signal is of good quality in each measurement location, exhibiting on average a signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) of around 31.60 dB.

In this paper we have analyzed the Gaussian Non-linear Interference (GNLI) spectrum considering non identical channels, non-identical links and Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise power spectrum for Coherent Optical Transmission Network (COTN) to calculate the Optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR) and Quality (Q) values. In this study, three different Baud rate values (13.875Gbaud, 27.75Gbaud, and 55.5Gbaud) are considered to compute the Q values and OSNR in the COTN. Consequently, the COTN produces 111 Gb/s, 222 Gb/s and 444 Gb/s line rates for three different Baud rate values (13.875Gbaud, 27.75Gbaud, and 55.5Gbaud) respectively in PM-16QAM modulation format. It is confirmed that the OSNR is always greater than Q values. It is also found that the differences between OSNR and Q are 0.23dB, 1.73dB, and 3.24dB for 111Gb/s, 222Gb/s and 444Gb/s line rates respectively. Here transmission of launch power per span, number of channels, number of spans and the fiber dispersion in the optical link are considered.

This article suggests a method of amplitude adaptive nonlinear suppression of non-Gaussian cluter in the coherent band pass of the receiver, which retains its effectiveness in any distribution of the clutter envelope and in any signal-to-noise ratio. At the same time, for “low level” signals, as compared to clutter, the algorithms that implement this method are not inferior to known asymptotically optimal algorithms, and the proposed algorithms do not introduce losses for “high level” signals. The proposed method also ensures a stable probability of false alarm. A description of this method is given, as well as a study of its effectiveness by modeling in the MathCAD environment in the task of detecting a deterministic signal against a background of non-Gaussian clutter in the form of reflections from the sea surface. When modeling such clutter, the K-distribution is used and the internal noise of the receiver is taken into account. Research shows that the proposed method really has these advantages.

ion: In gas difference absorption detecting system, the output electric signal is very faint and submerged in the background noise. In order to extract the faint signal covered by the background noise, we design the detective circuit aiming at how to restrain the noise and improve SNR of the system. In this paper, the detection circuit centering lock-in amplifier which reference signal frequency is automaticly followed is designed. The circuit adopts synchronization cumulating and locked loop technic, carries out frequency and phase aotomatic follow to the measuring signal by a locked loop circuit. The circuit not only avoids the tache taking reference signai from the modulator then adjusting the phase shif, but also improving signal-to-noise ratio more by synchronization cumulation.
