This paper is devoted to investigating a class of nonhomogeneous Choquard equations with perturbation involving p-Laplacian. Under suitable hypotheses about the perturbation term, the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions for the given problems is obtained using Nehari manifold and minimax methods.

In this paper, we show the existence of solutions for an indefinite fractional Schrödinger equation driven by the variable-order fractional magnetic Laplace operator involving variable exponents and steep potential. By using the decomposition of the Nehari manifold and variational method, we obtain the existence results of nontrivial solutions to the equation under suitable conditions.

Abstract In this article, we first study the existence of nontrivial solutions to the nonlocal elliptic problems in ℝ N {\mathbb{R}^{N}} involving fractional Laplacians and the Hardy–Sobolev–Maz’ya potential. Using variational methods, we investigate the attainability of the corresponding minimization problem, and then obtain the existence of solutions. We also consider another Choquard type equation involving the p-Laplacian and critical nonlinearities in ℝ N {\mathbb{R}^{N}} .

In this paper, we investigate the existence and nonexistence of results for a class of Hamiltonian-Choquard-type elliptic systems. We show the nonexistence of classical nontrivial solutions for the problem \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta u + u= ( I_{\alpha} \ast |v|^{p} )v^{p-1} \text{ in } \mathbb{R}^{N},\\ -\Delta v + v= ( I_{\beta} \ast |u|^{q} )u^{q-1} \text{ in } \mathbb{R}^{N}, \\ u(x),v(x) \rightarrow 0 \text{ when } |x|\rightarrow \infty, \end{cases} \] when $(N+\alpha )/p + (N+\beta )/q \leq 2(N-2)$ (if $N\geq 3$ ) and $(N+\alpha )/p + (N+\beta )/q \geq 2N$ (if $N=2$ ), where $I_{\alpha }$ and $I_{\beta }$ denote the Riesz potential. Second, via variational methods and the generalized Nehari manifold, we show the existence of a nontrivial non-negative solution or a Nehari-type ground state solution for the problem \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta u + u= (I_{\alpha} \ast |v|^{\frac{\alpha}{2}+1})|v|^{\frac{\alpha}{2}-1}v + g(v) \hbox{ in } \mathbb{R}^{2},\\ - \Delta v + v= (I_{\beta} \ast |u|^{\frac{\beta}{2}+1})|u|^{\frac{\beta}{2}-1}u + f(u), \hbox{ in } \mathbb{R}^{2},\\ u,v \in H^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{2}), \end{cases} \] where $\alpha ,\,\beta \in (0,\,2)$ and $f,\,g$ have exponential critical growth in the Trudinger–Moser sense.

In this paper, we establish the existence of solutions to a nonlinear boundary value problem (BVP) of variable order at resonance. The main theorem in this study is proved with the help of generalized intervals and piecewise constant functions, in which we convert the mentioned Caputo BVP of fractional variable order to an equivalent standard Caputo BVP at resonance of constant order. In fact, to use the Mawhin’s continuation technique, we have to transform the variable order BVP into a constant order BVP. We prove the existence of solutions based on the existing notions in the coincidence degree theory and Mawhin’s continuation theorem (MCTH). Finally, an example is provided according to the given variable order BVP to show the correctness of results.

Our main purpose in this paper is to prove the existence of solutions for the fractional strongly singular thermostat model under some generalized boundary conditions. In this way, we use some recent nonlinear fixed-point techniques involving α-ψ-contractions and α-admissible maps. Further, we establish the similar results for the hybrid version of the given fractional strongly singular thermostat control model. Some examples are studied to illustrate the consistency of our results.

AbstractIn this paper, we focus on the existence of solutions for the Choquard equation $$\begin{aligned} \textstyle\begin{cases} {-}\Delta {u}+V(x)u=(I_{\alpha }* \vert u \vert ^{\frac{\alpha }{N}+1}) \vert u \vert ^{ \frac{\alpha }{N}-1}u+\lambda \vert u \vert ^{p-2}u,\quad x\in \mathbb{R}^{N}; \\ u\in H^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{N}), \end{cases}\displaystyle \end{aligned}$$ { − Δ u + V ( x ) u = ( I α ∗ | u | α N + 1 ) | u | α N − 1 u + λ | u | p − 2 u , x ∈ R N ; u ∈ H 1 ( R N ) , where $\lambda >0$ λ > 0 is a parameter, $\alpha \in (0,N)$ α ∈ ( 0 , N ) , $N\ge 3$ N ≥ 3 , $I_{\alpha }: \mathbb{R}^{N}\to \mathbb{R}$ I α : R N → R is the Riesz potential. As usual, $\alpha /N+1$ α / N + 1 is the lower critical exponent in the Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev inequality. Under some weak assumptions, by using minimax methods and Pohožaev identity, we prove that this problem admits a ground state solution if $\lambda >\lambda _{*}$ λ > λ ∗ for some given number $\lambda _{*}$ λ ∗ in three cases: (i) $2< p<\frac{4}{N}+2$ 2 < p < 4 N + 2 , (ii) $p=\frac{4}{N}+2$ p = 4 N + 2 , and (iii) $\frac{4}{N}+2< p<2^{*}$ 4 N + 2 < p < 2 ∗ . Our result improves the previous related ones in the literature.

In this paper, we study the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions of a second-order discrete boundary value problem with resonance and sublinear or superlinear nonlinearity. The main methods are based on the Morse theory and the minimax methods. In addition, some examples are given to illustrate our results.

This article concerns the entity of solutions of a quadratic integral equation of the Fredholm type with an altered argument, x ( t ) = p ( t ) + x ( t ) ∫ 0 1 k ( t , τ ) ( T x ) ( τ ) d τ , where p , k are given functions, T is the given operator satisfying conditions specified later and x is an unknown function. Through the classical Schauder fixed point theorem and a new conclusion about the relative compactness in Hölder spaces, we obtain the existence of solutions under certain assumptions. Our work is more general than the previous works in the Conclusion section. At the end, we introduce several tangible examples where our entity result can be adopted.

We establish sufficient criteria for the existence of solutions for a nonlinear generalized Langevin-type nonlocal fractional-order integral multivalued problem. The convex and non-convex cases for the multivalued map involved in the given problem are considered. Our results rely on Leray–Schauder nonlinear alternative for multivalued maps and Covitz and Nadler’s fixed point theorem. Illustrative examples for the main results are included.
