<div>In the span of a decade, innovations in cloud computing have led to a new understanding of computing to be used as a utility. Majority of cloud service providers are making the service better and competitive for end-user. Aside from the number of services introduced by these providers, users are feeling uneasy and are unaware of consequences while switching from one service to another. Internal architecture of the cloud makes it difficult for end-users to understand. To overcome this issue a new concept of multi-cloud has been introduced. In multi-cloud technology, we can use multiple clouds from different vendors without platform complexity. Hence summarized, Multi-cloud is the usage of autonomous cloud platforms with one interface which may clue to different administrative and implementation domains. This paper reviews the literature of recently presented solutions and architectures for multi-cloud platforms.</div>

Abstract –Today Security issue is the topmost problem in the cloud computing environment. It leads to serious discomfort to the Governance and end-users. Numerous security solutions and policies are available however practically ineffective in use. Most of the security solutions are centered towards cloud technology and cloud service providers only and no consideration has been given to the Network, accessing, and device securities at the end-user level. The discomfort at the end-user level was left untreated. The security of the various public, private networks, variety of devices used by end-users, accessibility, and capacity of end-users is left untreated. This leads towards the strong need for the possible modification of the security architecture for data security at all levels and secured service delivery. This leads towards the strong need for the possible adaption of modified security measures and provisions, which shall provide secured hosting and service delivery at all levels and reduce the security gap between the cloud service providers and end-users. This paper investigates the study and analyze the security architecture in the Cloud environment of Govt. of India and suggest the modifications in the security architecture as per the changing scenario and to fulfill the future needs for the secured service delivery from central up to the end-user level. One of the most unique forms of contracting is apparent in cloud computing. Cloud computing, unlike other conventional methods, has adopted a different approach in the formation of binding contract that will be used for the governance of the cloud. This method is namely the clickwrap agreement. Click wrap agreement follows a take it or leave it basis in which the end users are provided with limited to no option in terms of having a say on the contract that binds them during the use of cloud services. The terms found in the contract are often cloud service provider friendly and will be less favourable to the end user. In this article, the authors examine the terms that are often found in the cloud computing agreement as well as study the benefit that is entailed in adopting this contracting method. This chapter has undertaken a qualitative study that comprises interviews of cloud service providers in Malaysia. Hence, this study is a novel approach that also provides insight in terms of the cloud service provider perspective regarding the click wrap agreement.

Cloud computing can be considered as one of the leading-edge technological advances in the current IT industry. Cloud computing or simply cloud is attributed to the Service Oriented Architecture. Every organization is trying to utilize the benefit of cloud not only to reduce the cost overhead in infrastructure, network, hardware, software, etc., but also to provide seamless service to end users with the benefit of scalability. The concept of multitenancy assists cloud service providers to leverage the costs by providing services to multiple users/companies at the same time via shared resource. There are several cloud service providers currently in the market and they are rapidly changing and reorienting themselves as per market demand. In order to gain market share, the cloud service providers are trying to provide the latest technology to end users/customers with the reduction of costs. In such scenario, it becomes extremely difficult for cloud customers to select the best service provider as per their requirement. It is also becoming difficult to decide upon the deployment model to choose among the existing ones. The deployment models are suitable for different companies. There exist divergent criteria for different deployment models which are not tailor made for an organization. As a cloud customer, it is difficult to decide on the model and determine the appropriate service provider. The multicriteria decision making method is applied to find out the best suitable service provider among the top existing four companies and choose the deployment model as per requirement.


Cloud computing is constantly evolving with innovations. So, the cloud service providers are investing big in finding solutions for the challenges confronted by the business organizations in the ever-changing technological world. However, still, there is a little reluctance among the organizations to ultimately adopt the public cloud because the mission-critical applications and the mission-critical data require high-level security and availability which are questionable in the equally growing hacking technology. The hacker's comfort zone is Internet, and the Internet is the primary medium for communication between enterprises and cloud service providers. So, the cloud service providers come up with a solution called Direct-Cloud which bypasses the internet and establishes a private connection between the enterprise and cloud service provider. The primary objective of this paper is to familiarize the terminology direct-cloud as it makes a massive move in Cloud Computing. So, this paper presents a study that describes direct-cloud, its architecture, benefits, the comparison between different direct-cloud solutions and the guidelines to choose a suitable direct-cloud solution. Also, the terminologies Multi-Cloud and ConnectedCloud are gaining attention among the enterprises to meet the growing needs of the business. Hence the paper further explores the direct-cloud deployment in the multi-cloud and connected-cloud environment

This paper reviews, discusses, and highlights some of the standard cloud computing vulnerabilities primarily related to virtualization platforms and their implementations while outsourcing services and resources to different end-users and business enterprises. Furthermore, we provide Blockchain-enabled solutions for virtualized cloud computing platform involving both the end-users as well as cloud service providers (CSP) to address and solve different security and privacy-related vulnerabilities using blockchain-enabled solutions to improve their cloud services and resource provisioning facilities.

Trust relationships among multiple Cloud Service Providers is a concept in which multiple cloud service providers from multiple distributed Identity Provider can access resources of each other, only if they are trusted with their Identity Provider. In this chapter a scheme has been proposed to enhance the security of data in a multi-cloud environment by improving trust relationships among multiple clouds. The scheme is also designed to overcome interoperability problem between different clouds. In the proposed scheme concept of proxy is used. Client organization tries to communicate with multiple cloud service providers through proxy. Client organization send resource request to cloud service providers. On receiving the resource request the cloud service provider collect the authentication confirmation from proxy. Then it sends the reply and data to requested client organization. Numerical analysis and comparative study of the proposed scheme with some of the existing scheme has been carried out.


Cloud computing is the emerging platform that is covering individual and corporate needs swiftly. The spread of this global platform is ranging from infrastructure to various middleware, front-end and back- end services. At corporate level, another effective configuration of this phenomenon is multi-cloud environment, which is depicting the ultimate control of the end-user on engaging services from various cloud service providers depending on the service ranking, cost and availability. It is therefore, now very much desirable to have infrastructure services from one service provider while data services are performed on another cloud or having infrastructure services in a distributed environment on multiple clouds. Multi-cloud environment is closely linked with smartly configured security mechanism to ensure the security at rest and in transit. Intrusion detection at various levels and services of cloud platform is not an easy task and when it is spread over multiple clouds then the challenge becomes more complex and tedious. On the other side, managing and integrating a multi-cloud computing environment is also highly complex. From technical point of view, it requires experience and hi-tech skills to formulate sustainable integration between multiple clouds and a coherence among various services to provide an encapsulated platform for the end-user. As in a multicolor environment, the integration can be focused on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) from various cloud service providers therefore an API-consistent cloud environment is required which leads to the security and more specifically intrusion detection. The problem arises when most of the existing network based intrusion detection systems are designed to deal with the known threats and attacks. These systems are dependent on a rule base that is sufficient to work in certain environment but in case of multi-cloud integration, such fixed rule bases and known-resilience becomes a point of concern. It is therefore, required to look at the intrusion detection system, which may adapt the environmental changes as well as can at least indicate the unknown / anomaly attacks or detection. Honeypot is a vibrant mechanism to divert attention of the unknown attackers and able to capture data to analyze the anomaly. Honeypots may not be so useful independently but along with an intrusion detection system; this mechanism works efficiently and provides tangible results. This research paper is focused on analyzing the multi-cloud environment, intrusion detection systems and the use of honeypots in the existing solutions to understand the possible configurations for effective results in making a sustainable, secure and scalable multi-cloud environment.

Cloud computing is a well-known technology that provides flexible, efficient, and cost-effective IT solutions for multinationals to offer improved and enhanced quality of business services to end-users. The cloud computing paradigm is instigated from the grid and parallel computing models. It uses virtualization, server consolidation, utility computing, and other computing technologies and models for providing better IT solutions for large-scale computational data centres. It encompasses different services for supporting data storage, networking, and computing for facilities and amenities for businesses and multinational corporations. The enormous elastic on-demand cloud provisioning resources and services and datasets are processed and stored in tier-level virtualized cloud data centres operated by third-party service providers called cloud owners. The primary issue with these cloud service providers is to provide and maintain data security, privacy, and confidentiality and service availability and data support for end-users. This paper reviews, highlights, and discusses some of the common cloud computing vulnerabilities primarily related to virtualization platforms and their implementations while outsourcing services and resources to different end-users and business enterprises. We then provided blockchain-enabled solutions for virtualized cloud platforms involving both the end-users and cloud service providers (CSP) to address and solve various security and privacy-related vulnerabilities. These solutions will help the data centre industry to improve its virtualized cloud services and resource provisioning facilities. Finally, we discussed different blockchain-related implementation challenges in cloud infrastructures.
