As environmental problems are dramatically alarming the world, environmental issues have become the primary concerns of both consumers and companies. To please the environmental wants of consumers, many companies have to adopt green solutions today. Green brands are one of these solutions. Nevertheless, little has been known about the green brands. In this sense, this study attempts to explore the interaction between brand image (BIm), brand attachment (BAtt), customer engagement (CEn) and brand loyalty (BLo) within the scope of green brands as previously untapped context. In this study while brand image is determined as independent variable; customer engagement is specified as the mediator variable which mediates the link between brand image and brand attachment. Data were gathered from 428 participants through convenience sampling method. To examine the links between the variables in the suggested model, structural equation modelling was utilized. The results regarding the study bring out that brand image for green brands significantly influences customer engagement and brand attachment in a positive way; customer engagement has also a significant positive influence on brand attachment for green brands; and brand attachment for green brands significantly affects brand loyalty toward these brands in a positive way. In addition, partial mediating influence of customer engagement on the link between brand image for green brands and brand attachment was found significant. These findings also ensure applicable insights to practitioners, who are responsible for promotion of green brands, by emphasizing the importance of increasing brand image, customer engagement and customer attachment to generate loyal green customers.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on brand image, brand trust, brand loyalty, and purchase intention, based on consumers' perceptions in the context of the retail hypermarkets industry within the Egyptian market. To address the objectives of the study, a quantitative research methodology was used; the data were collected through a questionnaire, resulting in 403 valid responses from customers. The collected data were analysed using SPSS 23 and structural equation modelling on AMOS. The study found that CSR activities influence directly brand image and brand trust and indirectly brand loyalty and purchase intentions through the mediating role of brand image and brand trust. There was no significant direct relationship between CSR and brand loyalty as well as between CSR and purchase intentions. The effect of brand image is stronger than brand trust on both brand loyalty and purchase intention. The effects of brand image and brand trust are stronger in brand loyalty than in purchase intention. The paper adds to the understanding of the pivotal role of CSR activities as well as brand image and trust in affecting a consumer's intention to purchase decision, which has not been studied extensively in the Egyptian business to customer relationship markets in the retail industry. The study emphasises the importance of consumers' perceptions of CSR in achieving the main outcomes of relationship marketing (brand image, brand trust, brand loyalty and purchase intention). Retailers are progressively anxious to contribute to social and environmental domestic and international markets. Marketers should develop more consistent and effective social responsibility programmes to close any gaps between the retailer and the consumer perspective on CSR initiatives, and enhance the coordination between CSR activities incorporated into retailers' corporate strategic plans and their consumers' perceptions of these activities.

PurposeIn recent times, there has been a growing research interest in customer engagement; however, there is a paucity of empirical evidence on the drivers and outcomes of customer engagement such as brand loyalty. Furthermore, the customer engagement and brand loyalty literature have paid little attention to trustworthiness, even though it has the potential of explaining customer engagement, brand loyalty and their relationships. Consequently, the purpose of this paper is to ascertain the drivers of customer engagement and its relationship with brand loyalty in the context of retail banking in Ghana.Design/methodology/approachThe authors employed the survey research design. The authors collected data from retail banking customers in Ghana using the intercept approach. There were 385 respondents. The authors analysed the data using the structural equation modelling approach.FindingsThe results show that trustworthiness drives customer engagement which results in brand loyalty. The findings reveal that trustworthiness is defined through integrity, benevolence and ability while customer engagement is defined via emotional engagement, cognitive engagement and behavioural engagement.Originality/valueThis study examines the impact of trustworthiness on customer engagement and brand loyalty. It shows the mediating role of customer engagement in the relationship between trustworthiness and brand loyalty.

This study examined the influence of trust dimensions on customer engagement, and the resultant impact of customer engagement on customer loyalty in the context of life insurance. Furthermore, it investigated the mediating role of customer engagement in the relationships between trust dimensions and customer loyalty. A total of 452 valid responses from life insurance customers in Ghana were examined using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed that trust in service provider, trust in the regulator, economy-based trust, and information-based trust significantly influence customer engagement, with trust in service provider and trust in the regulator driving a higher level of customer engagement. The results also uncovered that customer engagement significantly enriches customer loyalty and mediated the relationships between the trust dimensions and customer loyalty. The findings highlight the importance of building convincing customer trust to advance customer engagement and customer loyalty.

This study aims to examine and validate the impact of big data analytical capabilities (individual, organizational, and technological) on bank performance via the mediating role of Fintech innovation in commercial banks operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Based on a literature review, resource-based theory, and financial innovation theory, an integrated conceptual framework was developed to guide the study. A quantitative survey approach was used, and the data was collected from 236 banks' senior managers (IT, financial, and marketers). Amos 21 structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to analyze and verify the study variables. The main findings revealed that big data analytical capabilities had a significant positive influence on bank performance. Fintech innovation acted as partial mediators in this relationship.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) image positively affects customer outcomes. Despite researchers’ interest in the investigation of company favoring outcomes still, there is a need to further examine the psychological mechanisms that generate these outcomes. Customer engagement (CE) is a state of mind that drives customer behavior. The role of CE has been fully ignored in CSR literature. We suggest that CSR engenders CE and examine the mediating role of CE between CSR and behavioral outcomes. A survey of 455 customers of banking services in Pakistan provided empirical evidence for hypothesis testing. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. We find that CSR image induces CE that gives rise to behavioral responses i.e., customer loyalty, word-of-mouth (WOM) and customer feedback. This is the first study to examine the impact of CSR on customer feedback and to investigate the mediating role of CE.

Purpose Millennial generation is fashion inclined, interactive and informative social beings. They are very conscious of the brands they wear. Millennia seek, share, inform and exchange fashion brand-related information on social networking sites (SNS). Marketers are subsequently engaging the young prospects and customers to keep up or improve enthusiasm and participation. The study attempts to investigate the role of customer-brand engagement (CBE) of millennials with fashion brands on SNS. The study simultaneously tests the moderating role of involvement levels affecting participation and CBE leading to brand loyalty. Design/methodology/approach The study followed a purposive sample by collecting 466 respondents from the graduate students of a university. The study adopted structural equation modelling (SEM) and Hayes process macros in SPSS 20.0 to test the moderated-mediation model. Findings The study confirms the mediating role of CBE in the relationship between participation and brand loyalty. Different degrees of involvement moderate the mediating role of CBE. Higher levels of involvement enhance the positive effect of participation on CBE. Originality/value The study is first of its kind to investigate the role of CBE and involvement among the millennial group. It also contributes to the related theories like service-dominant logic, social exchange theory and consumer culture theory regarding a unique population group, which is promising and profitable.
