The ecological characteristics of 159 dendrosozophytes of the dendrological park «Olexandria» are given: 61 of the Pinophyta division, 98 of the Magnoliophyta division; the sozological status is determined according to the latest in- ternational, state, and regional data. In addition, ecomorphs of plants were considered as specific displays of their adaptation to certain discrete abiotic factors of the ecotope. According to the ecological analysis, it was found that the dendrososophytes of the dendrological park are represented by 7 hygromorphs, among which mesophytes predominate (77 species — 49%), which are confined to moderately humid and arid ecotopes of Drymo-, Thamno- and Anthropogenophyton. In general, the rarity component is dominated by mezophilic heliophytic microthermophytic, and mezotrophic phanerophytes.

AbstractDiatoms are one of the key organisms used in biomonitoring studies and they occur in a wide variety of environments, exhibiting a broad range of tolerance to abiotic factors. Historically, the first freshwater diatom study in Turkey was conducted in 1844 by Ehrenberg based on the material collected from the Murat and Aras Rivers. Situated between large continents (Eurasia and Africa), Turkey comprises areas of very diverse geological, climatic and environmental conditions, so we should expect that organisms such as diatoms show high diversity in this region. The aim of this study is to present new sites of rare and new records in Turkey from different genera along with morphological and ecological characteristics. As a result, a total of 73 species (24 rare and 49 new records) are presented in this study.

One of the elements that ensure the sustainability of the environment is the vegetation cover. The vegetation cover contributes to the balanced functioning of ecosystems. It is the national parks rich in phytodiversity that attract the attention of scientists. The article presents an ecological analysis of the flora of the Kremenets Mountains National Park. The research was carried out in the areas of the mountains Divochi Skeli, Strakhova, Masliatyn, Chercha, Zamkova, Bozha. 10 florocoenotypes were identified in the study areas. The most numerous is the nemoral forest coenotype. The flora was analyzed for abiotic factors such as light, temperature, humidity, soil. It is these indicators that have an important impact on the formation of vegetation cover and the life processes of plants. It was found that facultative heliophytes, mesothermal plants, mesophytes, and mesotrophs predominate in the study areas. The vegetation cover has clear forest-steppe features. The classification of life forms of plants is given. Relicts and endemics are confined to steppe and calcepetrophilic areas. Flora synanthropization is observed on the study areas.

The benthic marine vegetation of the Parque Nacional Tayrona, Caribbean Coast of Colombia, II: Vegetation types. The benthic marine vegetation types of the littoral of the Parque Nacional Tayrona (Magdalena Department, Colombia) were studied during the rainy season. The methods used were modified from terrestrial phytosociology; appraisals of abundance and presence were made according to Braun-Blanquet (1965). Vegetation types are vertically distributed following the zonation patterns in each of the habitats studied: rocky, sandy-rocky and sandy-muddy. Habitats are divided according to the degree of surf exposure. The name of each vegetation type is that of the dominant species; a dominant species is considered to be the most outstanding one. 31 vegetation types have been described their distribution along the littoral in function of the ecological characteristics has been studied based on this description, the spatial complexity of the Tayrona littoral is great, as expresed by the irregular distribution of the species and vegetation types. The ecological characteristics of different areas of the Tayrona littoral, specially the bays ofChengue, Gayraca and Nenguange and the Cañaveral and Arrecifes sector, are analized and compared. The spatial complexity is atributed to oceanographic causes, specially the circulation patterns in the bays; Chengue is considered to have the most peculiar vegetation. Some considerations about the methods used and its convenience in ecological analysis are made.

Analyzes of the relationship of 115 species of phanerophytes used in cultural conditions (Azerbaijan) against some abiotic factors (light, temperature, water, wind, etc.) have been presented in the paper. 2 species of these taxa are hygrophytes, 56 species are mesophytes, 23 species are xerophytes, 9 species are mesoskerophytes and 25 species are xeromesophytes have been determined depending from the relationship with water according to the results of analyzes. 100 light-loving species, 15 shade-loving species, 97 wind-resistant species and 18 wind-resistant species were found as a result of the study.
