A new species of Cumacea belonging to the genus Eocuma Marcusen was collected from the South Sea of Korea. This new species resembles E. amakusense Gamô, E. hilgendorfi Marcusen, and E. latum Calman in having a pair of well-developed dorso-lateral carinae on the flat carapace and similar setae pattern on the telson. The new species, however, is easily distinguished from its congeners by the pattern of dorso-lateral carina and lacking lateral horns on the carapace. The adult male of this new species is fully described. A key to the Korean Eocuma species is also provided.

A new species of Arthrobrachus Solier, A. arquatus n. sp. from Argentina, is described using external characters of the adult male and female including terminal segments of the abdomen and genitalia. Arthrobrachus arquatus n. sp. is morphologically close to A. tibialis Solier, 1849 from the Central Chile sub region, suggesting a phylogenetic connection. Comments on the possible origin of this relationship are made.

<p>We describe a new species of terrestrial frog of the genus Pristimantis , located in the south Andes of Ecuador. The new species is characterized by: presence of dentigerous processes of vomer that are triangular in outline; ulnar tubercles flattened and disposed in a longitudinal, fold-like row; and a distinctive ventral coloration light to dark brown with white warts. We describe the call of an adult male, a single note with an average frequency of 4.23 kHz and two partial harmonics, and an average duration of 207 ms.</p><p>Describimos una nueva especie de rana terrestre <em>Pristimantis</em> de los Andes sur de Ecuador. La nueva especie se caracteriza por la presencia de procesos dentígeros del vómer de contorno triangular; tubérculos ulnares aplanados, dispuestos en una hilera a manera de pliegue; y una distintiva coloración ventral de café claro a café oscuro con verrugas pigmentadas de blanco. Su canto presenta una frecuencia dominante promedio de 4.23 kHz con dos parciales armónicos.  </p>

Leptochelia Vatulelensis(Crustacea: Tanaidacea), A New Species From Anchialine Caves of the South-Western PacificLeptochelia vatulelensisn. sp., discovered on the small islands of Vatulele (Fijian group) and Ouvéa (Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia), is described and illustrated. The new species is distinguished from the others of the"Leptochelia-dubiagroup" (to which it is generally similar) by the following combination of morphological characteristics: (1) the presence of three to four distal setae on the maxilliped basis; (2) merus of pereopods III and IV with only a distosternal seta; (3) endopod of the uropods formed of four (rarely three) articles; (4) males with two (sometimes three) relatively short aesthetascs on the first five articles of the antennular flagellum; (5) male cheliped with a diminished dimorphism; (6) males with a vertical comb-row of setae on the cheliped propodus. Although it inhabits inland, anchialine caves, the new species lacks morphological features that are characteristic of some cave species.

Seven species of freshwater crabs from three families are recorded from and around the Danum Valley Conservation Area in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo: Thelphusulacapillodigitus sp. n., Thelphusuladicerophilus Ng &amp; Stuebing, 1990, Arachnothelphusaterrapes Ng, 1991, Terrathelphusasecula Ng &amp; Tan, 2015, Parathelphusavalida Ng &amp; Goh, 1987 (new record) (Gecarcinucidae); Isolapotamoningeri Ng &amp; Tan, 1998 (Potamidae); and Geosesarmadanumense Ng, 2002 (Sesarmidae). The new species of Thelphusula Bott, 1979, can be distinguished from all congeners by a unique combination of morphological features, most notably the presence of dense patches of short setae on the fingers of the adult male chelipeds, as well as the structure of the male first gonopod. Arachnothelphusaterrapes is confirmed to be a phytotelm species. A key to all species in the conservation area is provided.

Xylaria fusispora, an undescribed species of Xylaria (Xylariales, Xylariaceae), is described and illustrated as a new species based on collections from Guizhou Province, China. Both morphology and phylogenetic analysis of nrDNA ITS sequences support the establishment of this new species. The fungus is characterized by its fusoid-equilateral ascospores and an ascus apical ring not bluing in Melzer’s reagent. The differences between the new species and the related fungi are discussed.

Heminicsara Karny, 1912 is a katydid genus of Agraeciini from the Axylus genus group. It currently comprises 62 species from mainly New Guinea and surrounding archipelagos. Based on recent fieldwork in Lobo in West Papua, Indonesia, a new species of Heminicsara is described here: Heminicsara incrassata sp. nov. It is most readily characterised from congeners and other species of the Axylus genus group by the male tenth abdominal tergite forming a large shield-shaped plate. This represents the first species of Heminicsara described and known from the south-west of New Guinea.

The adult male and larva of a new species in the genus Chimarra Stephens, Chimarra paramonorum n. sp., are described, diagnosed, and illustrated based on the specimens collected in Zhejiang Province, China. The larva and adult male were associated by mtCOI gene sequences. The male can be separated from C. monorum and C. thienemanni mainly by small preanal appendages and by wrinkled, hairless endotheca. The larva of the new species can be separated from other congeners by a combination of characters including the notch on the anterior margin of the frontoclypeus, the teeth of the mandibles, and the length of the seta-bearing process of each forecoxa. The larval description is the first for Chimarra in China.
