Le laboratoire central du Service de transfusion sanguine de la Croix-Rouge néerlandaise, dont l'origine remonte à 1939, est administré par une Fondation qui réunit le Gouvernement néerlandais, la Croix-Rouge néerlandaise et la municipalité d'Amsterdam. La direction des divers départements et laboratoires a été confiéé à un groupe de médecins, chimistes, pharmaciens et biologistes. Le Laboratoire central, exploité sur une base non commerciale, est le centre médico-technique des services de transfusion sanguine aux Pays-Bas. Il fournit à la plupart des hôpitaux néerlandais les appareils de transfusion sanguine et des dérivés du sang.

Sewer Networks

Controlling flow and pollutant discharges through sewer networks is required for a number of reasons. In order to accomplish such control, precise knowledge of the hydrodynamic conditions of each candidate measurement location proves critical. The Laboratoire Central dos Ponts et Chaussés has thus become involved in an experimental program on velocity and suspended matter concentration fields. This paper first presents the measurement methods and experimental results obtained before providing and discussing some of the numerical results.

During recent years, the spectacular growth of the sand deposit has made a great beach located at the base of the town of Tangier, and created a problem for local authorities. They are afraid that this deposition may endanger the harbor accessibility. Before beginning correcting or protecting works, the International Zone Administration of Tangier has asked the Laboratoire Central d'Hydraulique de France to study the conditions of Tangier Bay, and to determine the mechanism of sand deposition; and also to define on a reduced scale model the best arrangements to be taken in the near future for an extension of the harbor. This paper aims to present the results of field observations on the prototype.

Le laboratoire central de pathologie animale de Bingerville (Côte-d'Ivoire) a effectué en 1990 et 1991 une évaluation de l'immunité post-vaccinale antibovipestique après les campagnes de vaccination de 1989 et de 1990, qui ont eu lieu sur tout le territoire national. Le modèle d'échantillon en grappes a été choisi pour récolter 6020 sérums sur 255 sites de prélèvements en 1990, et 3301 sérums sur 158 sites en 1991. L'analyse de ces sérums par le test ELISA a donné un taux standardisé de séropositifs de 82,39 p. 100 + ou - 0,08 en 1990 et de 88,26 p. 100 + ou - 0,06 en 1991.
