The multimedia information system represents a specific form of information system. This research area suffered many changes in direction due to technology shifts. The general problem is that few years back, multimedia technologies had been limited to relatively simple, stand-alone applications, but multimedia systems, particularly Web-based systems grew in complexity and intervened with many critical issues for development. In this chapter, a specific focus will be cast on existing methodology approaches, their upsides and downsides, and on the surveys and research done by distinguished authors in this area on what sort of methodologies are used in practice. Afterwards, the focus of this chapter will be on whether existing development methodologies can be applied to multimedia systems and if there is any need to adapt them for that specific purpose.

<p>ABSTRACT<br />The records officer at Maternity Clinic Sriati Sungai Penuh - Jambi in its management and reporting of patient data are still using manual systems. It has caused a delay in the delivery of information and report on daily data patients. Thus, it needs a system of web-based medical record information that can assist officers in the medical record of the patient data management processing. This system design method uses development life cycle (Systems Development Life Cycle-SDLC) which consists of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and use. Meanwhile, the purpose and benefits of the design of this information system is to produce a system of web-based medical record information in Maternity Clinic Sriati River Sungai Penuh - Jambi. With this information system, it eases medical records clerk in the management of patient data whichh includes patient registration process, the recording of patient medical records, physician data recording, data recording space, the search code ICD 9 CM and ICD code search 10. In addition, this information system produces a variety of reports and patient medical record information that is required for management decision making.<br />Keywords: Information Systems, Medical Record, Maternity Clinic, Web.<br />ABSTRAK<br />Petugas rekam medis di Klinik Bersalin Sriati Kota Sungai Penuh - Jambi dalam pengelolaan dan pembuatan laporan data pasien masih menggunakan sistem manual.

Internet systems have the potential to reach a huge and unknown audience. How easy a system is to use will usually determine its success or failure and consequently the business and yet the human factors elements of systems are rarely considered. Usability describes the ease with which people can use a system to complete a task. It is often the case however that development teams focus more on the technology and less on the users when designing systems resulting in software that is not useable and therefore does not satisfy users’ need. This chapter presents recent research, which examines one approach to developing a web-based information system and demonstrates how the composition of the development team through the inclusion of people with an understanding of user needs is important to the quality of the final product and ultimately the success of the system.

The purpose of this research is to know the geographic information system of tourism that is in Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency and develop it Research methods used by doing observationin Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency, then proceed with the system development method. the research method used is by the method of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). By using the Software Notepad ++ to build tourism Geographical Information System web-based. PHP as a programming language, MySQL as the database server and the design of the map using the Google Maps API. The object-oriented approach that is used UML (Unified Modeling Language) can explain the flow of the existing system. Dinas Kepemudaan dan Olahraga dan Pariwisata Kebumen Regency has been doing promotion through mass media such as newspapers and brochures in the delivery of information. But the way is not enough to inform tourism and places of attractions. It is therefore through the design of Geographical information system of tourism was able to resolve the issue. After the results of the study of geographic information systems is expected delivery of tourism information becomes more widespread, and the tourists could be quick and precise in finding information a tourist want to visit.

Information system maintenance is an important aspect of information system development, especially in systems that provide dynamic content, such as Web-based systems and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). Design for Maintenance (DFM) is an approach that argues that maintenance effort should be considered during the design of information systems in addition to the usual system design considerations. This research examines how the design of links among knowledge documents in a KMS affects both their maintenance and use. We argue that providing links among knowledge documents increases the cost of maintenance because when a document changes, the documents that link to and from that document are more likely to need changes. At the same, linking knowledge documents makes it easier to locate useful knowledge and thus increases use. We examine this tension between use and maintenance using 10 years of data from a well-established KMS. Our results indicate that as the number of links among documents increases, both maintenance effort and use for these documents increase. Our analyses suggest two DFM principles for dynamic content in practice. First, knowledge coupling (i.e., linking) to documents internal to the KMS rather than sources external to the KMS better balances maintenance effort and use. Second, designing small, knowledge cohesive documents (e.g., 250-350 words) leads to the best balance between maintenance effort and use.

The increasing need for property in Tanjungpinang City is very growing, especially in the housing sector. Selection of property based on location and facilities and infrastructure is always a consideration for the community in making decisions to buy a property. Difficulty finding property location information in a certain area often occurs, resulting in people not getting references about the properties offered in Tanjungpinang City. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based geographic information system (GIS) regarding the distribution of the number of properties on offer, especially in Tanjungpinang City using a web-based mapping approach. In the development of Property GIS the author uses the Waterfall method and in the analysis of system requirements it is modeled with UML (Unified Modeling Language) and implemented with the PHP programming language and MySQLI database. It is hoped that the results of making this property's geographic information system can help the public to find out information about the distribution of properties offered, such as the location of property coordinates, addresses, prices, property photos, property specification data and property developer data.
