This paper is written with a view to confirming strategic objectives of enterprise resource planning system by analyzing world-class enterprise resource planning system and by systematically generalizing findings and experiences obtained in the process of its research, development, and introduction in keeping with the real situation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Confirming strategic objectives of enterprise resource planning system in keeping with the real situation of the DPRK intends to suggest the objectives which should be achieved in its research, development, and introduction which different development units of the state are now pushing forward as long-term, durable tasks. The findings on the strategic objectives for research, development, and introduction of enterprise resource planning system have been made in correlation with those already obtained in the DPRK and over the world. But a lot of issues should still be studied in keeping with the reality in the DPRK in the aspects of business economics and information technology (IT).

The article discusses the key elements of the planning system of corporate resources of an industrial enterprise and reflects their positive aspects. These advantages will increase the efficiency of pro-duction processes in the context of operational planning and dispatching. The real benefits of an enterprise resource planning system appear in the long term, when an organization can apply the best business pro-cesses developed over the years of implementing an enterprise resource planning system for other organiza-tions. This is of particular relevance in the application of the concepts of lean technologies.

Ein entscheidendes Merkmal von Industrie 4.0 ist die dezentrale Produktionssteuerung. Hier wird die Entscheidungsfindung nicht mehr nur durch ein zentrales System – beispielsweise einem Manufacturing Execution System (MES) oder einem Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) – sondern durch eine Vielzahl von Personen und Objekten getroffen, die am Prozess beteiligt sind. Die Kommunikationsstruktur dieser Objekte zu analysieren, ist eine Möglichkeit die Dezentralität zu bewerten.
