This study investigates the factors affecting the usage behavior and intention towards online purchasing platforms in purchasing agriculture and fisheries products online based on the technology acceptance model. External factors adapted from current literature were integrated with the model to understand the consumer intention and behavior towards online purchasing. An online survey with 318 respondents was used to test the hypotheses of the theoretical model using partial least squares component-based structural equation modeling. Results show that trust is a significant predictor of usage behavior. Furthermore, the factors visibility, perceived risk, perceived value, and enjoyment have directly or indirectly influenced intention and usage behavior through trust, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness. The researcher considers this work to have contributed essential inputs to other researchers interested in studying the adoption of online purchasing in fisheries and agriculture products.

Globally, governments are taking steps to help them increase their income generation margin by implementing tax administrative ERP systems. However, the impacts on the internal system users of these ERP system quality features have not drawn the attention needed. This study, therefore, examines the relationship between the information systems' (IS) quality and individual impact using the theoretical foundation of the DeLone and McLean IS success model and, secondly, addresses the interrelationships between the quality constructs of information systems (IS). The authors also used the structural equation modeling technique of partial least squares to evaluate and analyze the data. The results show that system quality, the information quality, and the service quality characteristics of the tax administrative ERP system have a strong positive impact on the success of the IS at the individual level. There is also a positive relationship between the information systems' (IS) quality construction. The results provide additional empirical observations and consequences for management.

Nowadays, many higher education institutions(HEIs) replace existing computer systems with new ones to cope with the changing demands. At the top of these systems is enterprise resource planning(ERP) systems that integrate HEIs’ business processes, functions, and data to improve their overall productivity and effectiveness. However, many studies on ERP adoption have shown that organizations frequently face several barriers, and the failure rate is high. This research aims to explore the factors that affect the behavioral adoption and acceptance of an ERP system in HEIs. Based on literature and authors’ observations of the PeopleSoft system(ERP) implementation at Yanbu University College in Saudi Arabia(SA), a conceptual model of users' acceptance of ERP systems has been proposed. The framework is based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology(UTAUT) model. The study offers a theoretical contribution by extending the UTAUT model and according to the authors’ knowledge, this is the first paper that to address ERP users’ adoption perspective in HEIs in SA

Level-based weight assessment (LBWA) model is a recently introduced algorithm for determining criteria weights for multi-criteria group decision making. In this paper, the authors aim to extend the basic framework of LBWA in the picture fuzzy (PF) environment using actual score (AS) measures of the picture fuzzy numbers (PFN). They apply this extended framework in addressing a real-life problem pertaining to social entrepreneurship or social entrepreneurs (SE) in the context of COVID-19. They endeavor to identify the critical challenging factors of SE in the new normal. They list the challenges as revealed through literature review and take the opinion of a group of SEs using PF linguistic scale. They then apply the proposed framework, actual score-based picture fuzzy LBWA. They notice that ability to withstand disruption risk and show resilience and fund availability and creation of a supporting business ecosystems are the major challenges that SEs face in the new normal. They carry out validity checking and sensitivity analysis, which show reasonable consistency and stability in the result.

While many studies explain factors influencing the success of ERP implementation, little is known about the system outcome to satisfy user expectations based on the concepts of task-technology fit and person-task fit. The study examines the effects of fits between user interfaces, task interdependence, and user knowledge on system utilization and performance impacts leading to user satisfaction with ERP system implementation. Based on the structural equation modeling analysis and two-way interaction test results, a user interface dampens the positive effect of task interdependence on task-technology fit while it strengthens the positive effect of user knowledge on task-technology fit. Task interdependence dampens the positive effect of user knowledge on system utilization. The results provide guidance on how to enhance the system impacts on user performance and encourage the system usage resulting in user satisfaction with the ERP system implementation. The paper provides detailed discussions of the results, the implications for theory and practices, and the study limitations.

This paper examines factors affecting the intention to adopt mobile value‐added services (MVS) by women's micro and small businesses (WMSBs) in the Kingdom of Tonga. Previous research on technology acceptance reveals that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect the intent to use technologies. Nevertheless, studies on behavior propose that societal values affect the intent to use. The study tries to fill the gap by examining those three variables' effects on the intent to adopt MVS in Tonga—a Pacific island nation that embraces a distinctive culture of mutuality and sharing. After surveying 267 women microbusiness owners, the study reveals that the most influential determinant of intent to use MVS is social support. Social support also affects perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of MVS. Therefore, in collective cultures such as Tonga, leaders and decision-makers should involve social networks to expand the adoption of technologies.

This study conceptually investigates the impact of quantum computers on blockchains within the supply chain context. Powerful quantum computers enable attackers to break into blockchains by rapid inverse calculations of mathematical problems that are the core of one of the main blockchain security foundations, known as asymmetric cryptography. They are also able to violate the integrity of public blockchains like bitcoin through mining acceleration. Hence, quantum computers can engender threats to the supply chain users of blockchain. On the other hand, there are ongoing efforts to create a quantum-resistant solution. One approach for such a solution is to utilize quantum tools themselves. Moreover, sufficiently powerful quantum computers are still being developed, and it is still unclear whether a quantum solution will arrive first or vice versa. The contrasting duality of quantum computers and lack of a clear picture over the timing of the arrival of a solution and threats give rise to the uncertainty that might hinder the attractiveness of blockchains for supply chains.

Due to rapid IT advances and escalated globalization, business digitalization has been accelerating. However, the average success rate of such endevors remains low. As an attempt to reveal why the digital transformation of a business is still so risky, this research analyzes how commonly encountered risks in IS projects are responded to and how the responses affect project outcomes. Resulting from the authors' previous work, they hypothesize that information systems are much more complex as they play an increasingly pivotal role in executing most business functions, and subsequently, the risk pattern of IS projects may have evolved, and that as businesses keep adding more information systems to the enterprise infrastructure, rather than via a piecemeal approach, a framework for enterprise-wide digital integration must be established to guide and evaluate business digitalization. The finding from this research should largely validate their hypotheses and allow them to call for a refocus of the efforts on digitalizing an enterprise.

The study considers digital supply management from the perspective of the involvement in international trade. A SWOT analysis of the concept has been carried out; the concept strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats have been highlighted. The hypothesis has been thoroughly considered through the example of the following countries: the Russian Federation (RF), the People's Republic of China, and the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG); in particular, the correlation between the volume of external traffic and the investment in SCM software was built. It has been revealed that in some countries an increase in the volume of external traffic due to an increase in investment in SCM software is associated with the complication and globalization of supply chains, which increases the competitiveness of goods and services of these countries. A composite index that takes into account the efficiency of the supply chain using digital technologies has been developed.

This study seeks to investigate the effects of supply chain characteristics on e-procurement institutionalization in construction companies. Data was collected through the in-depth structured interviews with 47 managers from a sample of 31 construction firms in Vietnam. The technique of cluster analysis with the Ward algorithm, the silhouette coefficient, and the t-test were used to analyze the data. The findings showed that the supply chain characteristics in terms of the size, ownership type, and operating market of strategic partners were significantly associated with the level of e-procurement institutionalization in construction companies. Along with the findings, this study's results will be helpful to policy-makers in formulating supportive policies and actions to effectively improve the low status of e-procurement adoption as well as accelerate the diffusion of the technology in the industry.
