In the operation of the hydropower units, it often come across condition changes such as start-up, normal stop, increase or decrease the load and load rejection. This will cause the hydraulic transient process of the water power generation system, which is of great significance to the safe and stable operation of hydropower station. This paper analyzes the method to calculate the transient process of hydropower unit and expounds the principle of all kinds of calculation methods and steps to lay a foundation for further optimization study.

Solar aided coal-fired power generation system (SACFPGS) combines solar energy and traditional coal-fired units in a particular way. This study mainly improves the solar thermal storage system. Genetic algorithm is used to optimize the SACFPGS. The best integration approach of the system, the collector area, and the corresponding thermal storage capacity to replace each high-pressure extraction are obtained when the amount of coal saving in unit solar investment per hour is at its largest. System performance before and after the improvement is compared. Results show that the improvement of the thermal storage system effectively increases the economic benefit of the integrated system.

Wind energy is the worlds fastest growing renewable energy source in recent years, and it has drawn worldwide attention. Due to high efficiency, simple topology and stable operation, variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) direct-drive wind power generation system using permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is the development trend and one of the focuses of wind power generation system research. The paper introduces the trend of the development wind power generation and the recently research stage on the wind power generation. Based on the VSCF power fundamental principle, the dissertation analyzes the strategy of wind turbine simulation. In the development of wind power generating system, the wind turbine emulator becomes more and more important because it can provide controllable wind turbine characteristics. Simplified mathematical model based on the CT-λ curve is constructed, the system structure and emulation method are analyzing. Hardware and software are designed and implemented, and a laboratory set-up is building which based on DC motor. Experimental results show that the wind turbine emulator is as good as expected.

Solar photovoltaic power generation as an inexhaustible, inexhaustible clean energy has become the focus of future energy development. Along with photovoltaic power generation incorporated into the power grid, in order to make power generation plan reasonably, ensure the stable operation of power system, need to forecast the photovoltaic power output. In this paper solar photovoltaic power generation forecasting methods are analyzed and summarized. According to the application of solar photovoltaic power generation and demand, mainly on photovoltaic power generation system power prediction research method has carried on the comprehensive elaboration, hoping for the researches play an important role in promoting and advancing the development of solar photovoltaic prediction methods.

With the characteristics of intermittence and randomness, Wind, solar and other new energy generation connected to the grid need for coordination to ensure safety and stable operation of the grid. To this end, the paper uses of complementary of wind and solar resources to build a controllable new energy supply system. Through the rational use of electric vehicles energy storage device, propose a stochastic optimal decision method of hybrid power generation system, based on the theory of chance constrained. There are broad prospects for the effective use of renewable resources.
