With the popularization of network technology, the computer technology is developing rapidly coupled with the emergence of virtual instrument technology. In this context, virtual experiment, an effective complement to the development of the traditional experimental method, has very broad spectrum of application in the field of education, measurement, and even other research areas. Thus, virtual experiment has become an important future development of experimental teaching. Based on analysis of the history and current status of the existing virtual laboratory at home and abroad, as well as the technologies used to accomplish a virtual experiment, this thesis makes a comprehensive study to analyze the construction of the virtual experiment system, including the basic theory of its establishment, the network environment, application classification, the specific tectonic model and technical methods and its development and applications.

In order to meet the need of modern experimental teaching, improve experiment of openness and flexibility. Constructing digital circuit experiment system, fully embodies the virtual instruments in experimental operation of the advantage based on the virtual instrument technology, LabVIEW. Through the analysis of digital circuit experiment in actual effect of virtual instrument technology, shows the digital experiment system more simple and convenient, and some characteristics of relative stability and performance and experiments small errors and use convenient and save costs etc,so can be widely used in experiment teaching. Not only expanded experiment scope and space, but also can exert students' initiative and creativity.

In order to meet the demand of hydraulic experiment teaching in universities, base on the analysis of the function of virtual hydraulic experimental system, the main research contents、 system scheme and key technology are determined. Three-dimensional model of the hydraulic components are established. Working principle of hydraulic component is displayed. The action process and the performance of the hydraulic circuit are simulated. A virtual hydraulic experimental system with its own characteristics is built. The virtual experiment system is not only suitable for classroom teaching but also suitable for the experimental teaching and learning activeness of students is enhanced by using the system.

Based on LabVIEW, vibration measurement and diagnosis system of equipment was developed for experimental teaching. On the platform, vibration signals from running equipment can be sampled, displayed, stored, and analyzed in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain. The advanced signal processing technology such as power spectrum analysis, cepstrum analysis, demodulation analysis can also be executed. Using pattern recognition technology, the processed signals can be integrated for intelligent diagnosis of equipment state. The experimental system is helpful for students to learn signal processing methods, and to design virtual instrument.

In this paper, introduces a crossroads two-way intelligent traffic light control system based on the virtual instrument technology. The programming language Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW) is used and the NI Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite II (NI ELVIS II) platform is chosen as target device in designing this control system. The control kernel of the system is LabVIEW program, it can realize lots of functions, such as adjusting the passing time in all directions and the duration of the yellow light, passing time count down and treatment of abnormal traffic. The experiment proves, NI ELVIS II platform than traditional experimental teaching equipment more innovative, flexibility and practicality, be helpful for students in the field of innovation ability training.

Aiming at the condition that laboratory instrument resource can not meet the demands of experimental teaching, management and upgrading because of shortage, decentralization, obsolescence and aging, therefore, a design proposal of network experiment system based on Lab VIEW is presented. The data transmission of tree modules which are virtual instruments, simulation and real time measure is achieved with application of Data at Socket technology and Remote Panels technology. Practical application shows that this system can reduce attrition rate of machines and improve the utilization efficiency of instruments and it has some other advantages including short development period, low cost, good compatibility, good extensibility and easy update for equipments. The network construction based on virtual instrument technology has broad prospects in industry and scientific experiment.

An imaging system of ultrasonic detection is presented for non-destructive testing (NDT) of complex structures by using virtual instrument technology. The control devices for C-scan as well as for imaging system are designed and manufactured. In the coarse scan mode with the scan step of 1 mm, the system can quickly give an image display of a cross section of 80 mm (L) ×60 mm (D) by one measurement. In the refined scan model, the system can show a refine image of the coin. All experiments on coin, bulk metal, and other forms of specimen verify the efficiency of the proposed method. The experimental results are accurate and reliable.
