Binocular vision system can be widely used in CNC machine tools chatter monitoring, due to its simple system and automatic measurement function. Traditional registration method cannot balance the contradiction between precision and speed of registration; restrict its application in high speed monitoring system. So based on traditional feature point registration method, it proposes a new method to obtain more accurate matching feature points by using complexity distribution feature of image region to determine the distribution of feature region and the bidirectional similarity and triangle similar method, which realize quick registration. From the simulation and implementation effect perspective, this method is feasible for the image registration in high-speed monitoring system.

In order to meet the development demands for high-speed and high-precision of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools, the equipped CNC systems begin to employ the technical route of software hardening. Making full use of the advanced performance of Large Scale Integrated Circuits (LSIC), this paper puts forward using Field Programmable Gates Array (FPGA) for the functional modules of CNC system, which is called Intelligent Software Hardening Chip (ISHC). The CNC system architecture with high performance is constructed based on the open system thought and ISHCs. The corresponding programs can be designed with Very high speed integrate circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) and downloaded into the FPGA. These hardening modules, including the arithmetic module, contour interpolation module, position control module and so on, demonstrate that the proposed schemes are reasonable and feasibility.

Based on GPRS network remote monitoring system which uses its two-way transmission performance, can easily monitor various electrical equipments and get information. Compare with the past remote monitoring systems, the system has the advantage of flexible networking, convenient, wide range of data transmission, high reliability, fast response time, and has great significance and value of research in CNC machine tool system with upgrade GPRS in the mobile communication networks, data services expand and data transfer capabilities.

Because of its high dynamic response speed and acceleration, high rigidity and positioning accuracy, the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is able to meet the requirements of high-speed precision CNC machine tools. However, its thermal problems have seriously hampered its development. This paper establishes a PMLSM temperature field model, designs a cooling structure, determines the boundary conditions of the finite element model and conducts computer simulation of the model. The result shows that the designed cooling structure can effectively alleviate the motors thermal problems.

Linear Motors have been used more and more widely in high precision and high-speed linear motion for CNC machine tools, but uniform testing standards and methods for linear motor performance have not been established in China. Based on the virtual instrument software platform by means of computer technology, research and development of the test platform for synthetic performance parameters of linear motors can realize the rapid and accurate measurement, automatic storage and processing of linear-motor output, currents, positions, temperatures and other performance parameters. , Meanwhile, the platform can also provide the technical direction for design or improvement of linear motors, and technically support the formulation of related standards. Experiments showed that the test platform for synthetic performance parameters of linear motors can achieve high precision and automatic measurement to meet the testing requirements for synthetic performance of linear motors.

Abstract At present, automatic machines have gradually replaced human labor for improving both the stability and effectiveness of manufacturing operations. Five-axis CNC machine tools are commonly used for traditional surface milling machining. However, it is still necessary to manually reposition the work-piece for the CNC machine tools that enviably lowers position accuracy. As such, it is essential to develop an integrated fusion system that can scan any objects and conduct repair operations automatically. The primary purpose of this research is to integrate the stereo vision system into an existing industrial manipulator. With the proposed method and system, the position error can be reduced by avoiding moving the work-pieces during operations. Also, reconstructing the scan results from multiple views avoids the common blocking problem in vision. Finally, the distance of the manipulator path is optimized by the Hill Climbing algorithm, allowing to create a trajectory of the manipulator end-effector to reprocess the work-piece. In the future, this system can be implemented for automated optical inspection (AOI), such as pipeline maintenance, turbine engine maintenance, and automatic classification of defects.

The paper presents an intelligent real-time slope surface deformation monitoring system based on binocular stereo-vision. To adapt the system to field slope monitoring, a design scheme of concentric marking point is proposed. Techniques including Zernike moment edge extraction, the least squares method, and k-means clustering are used to design a sub-pixel precision localization method for marker images. This study is mostly focused on the tracking accuracy of objects in multi-frame images obtained from a binocular camera. For this purpose, the Upsampled Cross Correlation (UCC) sub-pixel template matching technique is employed to improve the spatial-temporal contextual (STC) target-tracking algorithm. As a result, the tracking accuracy is improved to the sub-pixel level while keeping the STC tracking algorithm at high speed. The performance of the proposed vision monitoring system has been well verified through laboratory tests.

Nowadays, there is a big demand on using small sized CNC machine tools, which have low price tag, wide range of implementations, low manufacturing costs and can be used for educational purposes. These machines can achieve casual manufacturing routines, like milling and drilling in applications, where there is no need for high speed performances and super quality of products. In this work, we proposed a model of CNC for these machines and analysed its components and efficiency. The model consists of three main layers: CNC system (application layer), ARM based microcomputer as CAN master and controller (connecting layer) and Servo-Drive Step Motors (actuating layer).
