The green supply chain management, as a new model of modern management, aims to achieve the goal of the sustainable development of social economy and promote the core competitiveness of enterprises. This paper shall begin with the connotation of supply chain management, then the ways to implement green supply chain management shall be elaborated respectively: promoting environmental legislation, developing cluster supply chain network and eco-industrial park, establishing platform of network information system, cultivating market environment of green consumption, changing environmental conception and cultivating green enterprise culture, re-engineering business process and encouraging green technological innovation, establishing strategic cooperation and constructing performance of evaluation system and generally participating in and inspiring green supply chain management.

Purpose This study aims to present a competitive advantages framework suited for disaster prone regions in the era of climate change, present supply chain cooperation (SCC) as an integral part of GrSCM within the automobile industry and evaluate the competitive advantages framework merits based on SCC as a new implementation tool. Design/methodology/approach In an effort to address limited green supply chain management implementation strategies in disaster prone regions, the paper presents SCC as an economic, social and political implementation tool. To explore this; the study introduces SCC in a three-phase competitive advantages model adopted from the Barney 1995 model (with slight differences). Smart PLS 3.0 software package was adopted to carry out multi-variable data analysis. The study’s assumption is a capital economic system and bases its argument of analysis on stockholder theoretical lenses. Findings Big company size does not significantly affect SCC, suggesting that companies of all size can organize and enhance their network to be cooperative. Companies with cooperative supply chain network tend to have competitive advantages. SCC is also a viable way to manage business risks, be there internal or external. Research limitations/implications One of the study’s limitation is the stockholder theory it adopts, which shoulders its assumptions on a capital economic model of operation. Indeed, the study covered China, which is seen to be a communist-based economy. Another study’s limitation is that it narrows its data collection to disaster prone areas as documented by Guha-Sapir et al. (2012). Consequently, the findings of this study might be only applicable to areas that experience significant level of disruptions usually caused by disaster incidents. Originality/value The study is also the first of its kind to propose a model for automobile manufacturing in disaster prone regions. This is done by introducing SCC as an economic, social and political factor, while risk ranking is introduced as an environmental factor to constitute the external changes that Barney 1995 introduced.

This paper first introduces research about green supply chain management, and points out the differences between green supply chain management and traditional supply chain management according to the characteristics of green supply chain. Then, the paper analyses the sources of risk in green supply chain management fundamentally and constructs a risk evaluation system owing to the classification of sources. Finally paper makes a quantitative analysis to the risk of green supply chain with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.

Globally, green consumption behavior has radically changed green product lifecycles as well as green product branding to eliminate the environmental impact of global tourism. The purpose of the current study is to examine green consumption intention in the hospitality and tourism industry as an outcome of green supply chain management and strategic green marketing orientation. It also aims to investigate the green brand image and green social responsibility in a mediated-moderation mechanism to induce green consumption. Based on the deductive approach, and cross-sectional quantitative data of 317 hotel visitors/guests in the northern tourism hotspots in Pakistan, the hypothesized relationships were tested through the structural equation modeling technique with partial least squares. The findings empirically establish that green supply chain management and strategic green marketing orientation have positive and significant effects on green consumption intention. Further, environmental concern (i.e., green image) partially mediates the relationship between strategic green marketing orientation, green supply chain management, and green consumption behavior. The results also revealed that brand social responsibility does not moderate green image and green consumption behavior. These stimulating new findings guided by the signaling theory, provide strategic insights that help to upgrade the tourism supply chains and enabling them to become green.

This paper analyzes the problems in the supply chain of oil industry, proposes a model of the green supply chain of oil industry, and uses a case to illustrate the application of the green supply chain management of oil industry. The process consists of: green raw material, green exploitation, green store, green transportation, green sale, green consumption, green return ,green recycling and green disposal. It is proved well in application.

In this paper, using SCOR model as a framework of green supply chain, the authors establish the indicator system of overall performance evaluation on the green supply chain from the finance, operations and environment of the supply chain. According to the characteristics of the multi-level performance evaluation system and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the authors build the enterprise performance evaluation model on the green supply chain management. Using the implementation of the green supply chain on the Wilsonart Company as a case, the authors analyze and test that the green supply chain management can improve the overall performance of enterprises.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the supply chain has become an increasingly popular research topic, but there are little researches on developing countries or emerging market economies as the research object, let alone providing a framework for assessing CSR in sustainable supply chains in the context of these countries. This paper will make up for these literature gaps. From the perspective of the green supply chain management, this paper integrates various authoritative standards and adopts two methods, “R clustering” and “variation coefficient analysis”, to establish a CSR performance evaluation system of China’s transportation industry. Applying the mean square error index weighting method analyzes the performance of 74 companies in China’s transportation industry in 2018 to verify the rationality of the evaluation system. The results find that this industry generally scores low and the performance of responsibilities of different sub-sectors in this industry is different, but the overall performance trend is improving. This research has implications for China’s transportation industry to improve CSR levels from the perspective of green supply chain management, for managers and stakeholders who are committed to improving China’s CSR green and sustainable development, and for the development of CSR in developing countries and emerging markets.
