Two Zn (II) complexes have been prepared by reaction of zinc acetate dihydrate with Schiff-base ligands. The IR spectra of complexes were measured. The luminescence properties of the Zn (II) complexes in solid and in methanol, ethanol and DMSO solution were investigated and the effects of organic solvents on the luminescent intensity of Zn (II) complexes also were studied. The results show that the Zn (II) ions formed stable complexes. The complexes exhibited maximum fluorescence emissions in blue region and the organic solvents have effect on the luminescence intensity.
