Dynamic characteristics is the foundation of the dynamic design of the machine tool, while the key factor of establishing the accurate dynamic model of the machine tool is the treatment of the joint surface. In this paper, the whole machine tool model is built with the software PRO/ E, and the software MSC. Patran is used to mesh the finite element of super-high-speed grinder and set up the boundary conditions. Then Yoshimura method is used to determine the junction parameters and establish the dynamic model of the junction. The software MSC. Nastran is used to analyze the modal of the whole machine. At last, on basis of identifying the weaknesses of the structure of the machine tool, the paper provides a theoretical basis for the improvement of the machine tool design.

The machine tool bed is an important fundamental unit of the Machine tool, and its static and dynamic characteristics directly influence the precision of the Machine tool’s process. The precise composite B2-K3000 CNC grinding machine bed is made from artificial granite. Through entity modeling, adding the boundary conditions and stress conditions to the bed, this article analyses the static stiffness, natural frequency, vibration mode and harmonic response of the grinding machine bed, and masters the natural characteristics and preponderant natural frequency.On the basic of the bed’s structure characteristics and stiffness requirements, the original bed’s structure gets partial improvements. By increasing the number of ribs and using the cross-shaped ribs, the improved result indicates that the bed’s static stiffness can be enhanced obviously and the bed’s static and dynamic characteristics can be more excellent.

The dynamic characteristic is one of the important indicators which determine the performance of a machine tool, in this paper, the finite element model of a plane grinder is established with consideration of the behavior of joint, the static dynamic characteristics of machine tools are analyzed to reveal the vibration weak link, the column structure is topology optimized and redesigned based on the variable density degradation method. Static and dynamic characteristics of the original and new column are compared, and the dynamic characteristics of the machine tool before and after modification are discussed. The results indicate that the static and dynamic characteristics of the plane grinder are all improved after optimization.

These days, the interests on the low-cost handling robots are increasing because it is important to get down the unit cost of production to get the price competitiveness. The robot joint with simple mechanism is more suitable to implement the low-cost robot system as well known. The moving parts of robot have to be designed for simple and robust. But the dynamic characteristics analysis is induced by the robot links because they drive in high acceleration and deceleration. In this reason, the dynamic characteristics analysis of the high-speed robot is very important in the design process. In this paper, the study on robot driving torque analysis of a articulated robot has been done and the research results will be introduced

Bed is a main component of a large precision linear rolling guide CNC grinding machine tool Its dynamic characteristics impact on machine tool’s machining precision and stability directly. In this paper, boundary conditions on the bed of a machine tool factory’s production are analyzed. By using FEA method, the bed finite element models for dynamic analysis model are established and calculated. It provides guidance in investigating the effect factors of machining precision, the machine tool’s structure optimization and error compensation.
