New Steel Fiber Concrete Mechanics Parameters and Contact Explosion Tests

For getting the mechanics and contact explosion capability parameters, some new steel fiber concrete samples with 5% steel fiber were tested, many groups data were obtained with compress strength, shear strength and fracture toughness. The model tests were carried out on the new steel fiber concrete under contact explosion, the coefficient of explosion cavity radius of the material is obtained by above experiments and theory study. The two kinds of experiments above point out, the new steel fiber concrete with steel fiber has very high strength and rupture temper and its capability anti-explosion is about three times than general concrete.

In order to get mechanical properties and anti-explosion capability parameters, some RPC samples with 5% steel fiber are tested, many groups data were obtained such as compressive strength, shear strength and fracture toughness. The model tests are also carried out on RPC shelter plate under contact explosion, the most important parameter to express anti-explosion capability,i.e. compression coefficient of the material, is obtained by above experiments and theory study, the results of tests show RPC with steel fiber has very high strength and anti-explosion capability, its compressive strength and anti-explosion capability are about six and three times higher than those of C30 concrete respectively.

The paper considers the effects of high temperatures in case of fire on the change in impermeability of steel fiber reinforced concrete having a high-strength cement-sand matrix and various content of fiber of different types, sizes, and strength. It is shown that in the temperature range from 20° to 1100° C in the diagram “Heating temperature - impermeability class», the matrix and steel fiber concrete(SFC) have a S-shaped character, and in case of heating temperature of over 100 °C, there comes a distinct decrease in impermeability.

The article proposes boring shaft lining used super strength steel fiber concrete and double steel cylinder to solve the problem of the construction of shaft lining in deep alluvium of 700~800m, and studies the mechanical characteristics and failure of the shaft lining structure based on the model testing. The studies indicates that boring shaft lining structure used super strength steel fiber concrete and double steel cylinder may greatly improve the capacity of the shaft lining, the ductility of common high strength concrete shaft lining, obtains good plastic characteristics and upgrades the reliability of the shaft lining structure. In addition, strengthening coefficient of super strength steel fiber concrete based on theoretical analysis and experimental results, providing the design references for the engineering application of the new type shaft lining structure.
