In the face of the development trends of NC machine’s networking, this paper presents a new method of transferring NC program based on net transparent bridge technology. By analyzing the principle of serial port communication between NC machine tool and computer, this paper demonstrates the fundamental of net transparent bridge, topology structure, software and hardware realizing of communication function. The single NC machine networking in field showed that the preset qualifications can be reached, which makes the network integrations of existing single NC machines possible.

Heavy-duty NC machine tool is difficult and costly to evidently improve their precision via manufacturing technology only. It is proved being an effective approach to improve machine tool manufacturing precision based on software error compensation. In this paper, an error compensation algorithm based on reconstructing NC program is discussed. Following comprehensive discussion on basic algorithm of positioning error compensation in detail, linear interpolation and circular interpolation movement error compensation algorithm are further sketched in brief. To decrease the machining error, NC program is reconstructed before actual machining. The experiment results show that error compensation methods based on reconstructing NC program can improve profile accuracy of heavy-duty NC machine tools obviously.

The structure of five axis machine tool is complex and expensive, especially in the processing of complex and sophisticated parts. It is prone to produce the phenomenon of overcutting or undercutting between the machine parts and the knives or the machine tool , which will cause serious damage or even grievous scrap on the machine tool . With the help of VERICUT 7.0 Simulation of NC machine tool, you can modify and optimize the NC program code, shortening the real processing time required and improving the economic benefit of the company remarkably.

Analysis of the features of Mastercam, Solidworks and Vericut software and their respective advantages, Proposed by Solidworks, MastercamX and VERICUT three software are combined as the optimization platform to build the NC machining program integrated modeling, assembly, processing, simulation and Optimization in one. Author take rub a drum processing for an example, in the Solidworks modeling, assembly, in the Mastercam X programming and generate the NC program, through VERICUT for the simulation and optimization of NC program, Examples show the rationality of optimization, avoiding the collision, the production and processing of the interference, the over cut phenomenon, Three software effectively combined, play a very high efficiency, improve the using efficiency of NC machine tool, has the certain reference significance to the actual production.

In this paper the model of special metal cutting NC machine Tool is presented, which consists of a base module, an overall control module, particular functional modules as well as a relation module. Each module involved in aforementioned model will be composed by software, hardware and mechanical parts, so as to combine the convergence of the ideas of modularization and mechanical-electrical integration into current understanding of special NC machine tool through the proposed model. Specially, the relation module is introduced to deal with the linking among all the other modules. The presented model aims to broaden the perspective of machine designers intending to increase the efficiency in machine design. By giving the so-called function unit model a novel modeling approach is delivered to carry out control research of special metal cutting NC machine, which is followed by the formalization description method presented as a possible abstraction methodology towards the efficient description and identification of special metal cutting NC machine tool.

The coupling characteristic of the tool-holder/spindle interface in high speed NC machine has significant influence on machine tool accuracy and process stability. With the example of HSK-E63, based on nonlinear finite element method (FEM), the coupling characteristic of the tool-holder/spindle interface under high rotational speed was investigated, the influence of interference, clamping force and rotational speed on the contact stress and the sectional area of clearance were discussed in detail. The results can be used as theoretical consideration to design and optimize the high speed tool-holder/spindle interface.
