Non-cable hoisting frame is a construction method of the main arch ribs of big span bridge. The key issue in the numerical simulation of this type of bridge construction is geometric nonlinearity approach. Construction method of long-span bridge rib and stage-by-stage construction method of a arch bridge was simulated by finite element method. The geometric description was attained comparison with simulation results and the actual measurement of cable force. The results show that finite element method is effectively used in the simulation of long span arch bridge construction.

Considering the transformation of the system and the increasing of the load in the construction process of long-span arch bridge, combining with the definite engineering example and calculating the construction process of arch bridge by using finite element method,focusing on the analysis of deformation and stress of arch bridge under the effect of shrinkage and creep in the process of construction.

The multi-step forward finite element method is presented for the numerical simulation of multi-step sheet metal forming. The traditional constitutive relationship is modified according to the multi-step forming processes, and double spreading plane based mapping method is used to obtain the initial solutions of the intermediate configurations. To verify the multi-step forward FEM, the two-step simulation of a stepped box deep-drawing part is carried out as it is in the experiment. The comparison with the results of the incremental FEM and test shows that the multi-step forward FEM is efficient for the numerical simulation of multi-step sheet metal forming processes.
