The excavation of a shallow buried tunnel may cause stress redistribution in surrounding rock, and cause deformation, damage, and even destruction of adjacent underground pipelines. The land part of the Haicang undersea tunnel in Xiamen of China was a super shallow buried large span double-arch tunnel. Its construction was restricted by both underground excavation safe and adjacent pipeline protection. Multiple groups of working conditions were designed considering the relative position of pipe and tunnel, pipeline and tunnel construction parameters. Numerical simulation was used to study the influence of pipeline horizontal distance, buried depth, pipeline diameter, pipeline wall thickness, pipeline shape, pipeline material and excavation method on the response of adjacent underground pipelines. The results show that the relative position of pipe and tunnel, and the construction method of the double-arch tunnel have a great influence on pipeline deformation. Pipeline material, pipeline diameter and excavation method have a great influence on pipeline stress. The construction method was the key factor affecting the stress and deformation of the pipeline. The three-step reserved core soil method can effectively control the stress and deformation of underground pipelines. The research results can provide a reference for similar projects.

Modular construction is an innovative new construction method that minimizes waste and improves efficiency within the construction industry. However, practitioners are hampered by the lack of environmental and economic sustainability analysis methods in this area. This study analyzes the embodied carbon emissions and direct construction costs incurred during the production phase of a modular residential building and provides comparison to an equivalent conventional residential building. Major drawings and design details for a modular residential building in South Korea were obtained, and the quantity take-off data for the major construction materials were analyzed for a modular construction method and a conventional construction method using a reinforced concrete structure under the same conditions. Focusing on major construction materials during the production phase, the embodied carbon emissions assessment revealed that adopting a modular construction approach reduced the environmental impact by approximately 36%, as compared to the conventional reinforced concrete method. However, in terms of the direct construction cost, the modular construction was approximately 8% more expensive than the conventional reinforced concrete construction method.

The actual product assembly process mainly relies on manual assembly by workers, and the personal experience of workers is difficult to effectively reuse. Ontology as a knowledge management and expression tool is gradually applied in the field of assembly. However, the manual construction of the ontology is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the automatic construction of the ontology requires a large number of corpora for training, both of which are difficult to obtain a good assembly case ontology. This paper proposes a method in which automatically extracts relevant knowledge from case assembly process files to generates case database and integrates ontology framework of assembly domain to construct ontology. It shows that the accuracy can be guaranteed on the basis of the rapid construction of case ontology. The feasibility of this method is proved by a practical case.

Abstract The blasting tunneling construction method is often used in the underground engineering projects such as tunnels, coal mines roadway, chambers and so on, rock bolt and shotcrete support is used. Although the blasting construction method has many advantages, but also will be accompanied by adverse effects. Blasting vibration of blasting construction not only to the surrounding environment, building (structure) and other adverse effects, but also on the support of the underground project itself has a negative impact. In order to discuss the impact of blasting vibration on shotcrete and rock bolt support in the process of blasting tunneling of roadway, a certain amount of explosives is detonated in the hole of the working face, the finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA was used to establish the numerical calculation model, through time history analysis calculation, the distribution law of the vibration velocity on the shotcrete surface along the section and the variation law of the longitudinal tension and compression stress of the rock bolt are obtained. The results show that the blasting vibration produced by blasting tunneling has a great influence on the shotcrete at the shoulder, but little influence on the axial force of the rock bolt.
