SUMMARY Adequate removal of residual bonded materials from the enamel surface after orthodontic bracket debonding is critical, since any remaining composite may compromise enamel surface morphology and esthetics. The following clinical case reports present the association of at-home dental bleaching using 10% carbamide peroxide and the removal of residual bonded material using a super fine, tapered diamond bur followed by the use of an enamel microabrasion product after orthodontic bracket debonding. The proposed treatment considerably improved the esthetics and successfully removed the grooves created during the removal of the bonding composite, resulting in a smooth enamel surface.

A new technique has been developed for the purpose of studying, by means of vapor pressure changes, the effect of wood and cellulose on the system calcium-oxide–sulphur-dioxide–water. Preliminary experiments are described. A sample calculation has been made, to indicate that vapor pressure changes might be used to determine the relative rate of consumption of sulphur dioxide and calcium oxide during the cooking of wood. Cellulose does not yield carbon dioxide in appreciable quantities during cooking.

Introducing several new types of fracturing fluid which consist the low damage fracturing fluid (HPF), a new clean fracturing fluid (EFAS), alcohol radical fracturing fluid, summarizing several new technology such as floating prop pant fracturing technology, end sand strip controlling seam height fracturing technology, hydraulic injection layer fracturing technology and seam height controlled technology during fracturing, analyzing the corresponding fracturing Modification Techniques of different reservoir types. Developing the hydraulic fracturing technology for their oil fields based on the study at home and abroad is proposed.

The partial molal volumes of nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide in water at 0 C have been determined by a new technique based on the use of a Gilfillan-Polanyi micro-pyknometer as a float. The value obtained for nitrogen is 37.0 ml and that for oxygen, 31 ml. The value for carbon dioxide is found to vary from 44 to 28 ml as the pressure at which the water is saturated with the carbon dioxide varies from 0 to 6 cm Hg. The changes in the density of water at 0 C produced by saturation with nitrogen, oxygen, and air at 1 atm pressure are -9.3, + 1.8, and -4.7 p.p.m. respectively. The density of air-saturated water is considerably greater than would be expected from the sum of the effects due to nitrogen and oxygen separately.

Summary Background: This article is focused on the use of polymerized, prefabricated nano-hybrid-composite veneers to close diastema and to regain a vitality appearance of non vital discolored teeth. Case Reports: A 24-year old patient presented herself with a major complaint about the discoloration of her maxillary central incisors. The prefabricated composite veneers were recommended as the perfect solution in this case. Tooth shape and size was evaluated with the contour guide. Two pre-fabricated composite veneers size “M” were trimmed and cemented with the same hybrid composite resin that they were made from. A 28 year-old patient presented herself with a major complaint about her diastema. Her maxillary frontal teeth were intact. It was decided to use two veneers; size “L” and shade A2/B2 and Enamel Universal were chosen. Identical steps were followed as in clinical case 2. Conclusion: This new technique of treatment resulted to be an affordable way to regain esthetics. It is a one session treatment and requires no lab sessions, which makes it very comfortable for both dentist and patients. As with all new techniques, there is still a lot to be done, to confirm its effectiveness as a long term solution in esthetic dentistry.

The article presents a clinical case of a 16-year-old girl with clinical manifestations of congenital long QT interval syndrome in the form of syncope which were primarily diagnosed as epileptic syndrome for which the patient was taking anticonvulsant drugs having qualities of secondary prolongation of QT interval. At the same time, the data of family anamnesis (sudden death of the mother at a young age) in combination with typical manifestations of disease and electrocardiographic signs (prolonged QT interval measured from the standard electrocardiogram, paroxysms of spindle-shaped ventricular tachycardia accompanied with syncope conditions) made it possible to diagnose congenital long QT interval syndrome and implant an electric cardiac pacemaker.
