According to Chinese traditional classification, large-sized jackets weight over 10,000 tons and stand in over 100-meter water. Large-sized jackets are different from the normal in construction tonnage, structural dimension and quality control requirements as well as construction difficulty. More complicated construction technology and programme, higher grade of materials, stricter control requirements on node weld and higher risks all need matched stricter, more meticulous and more comprehensive management in planning and scheduling. Combined with construction of LW3-1 deep-water jacket, this paper describes the planning, tracking progress, process control and optimization.

Porous concrete also be called macropterous concrete or porous lean concrete.As a new base material,it is a lean concrete between cement stabilized macadam and ordinary concrete.Based on Luoyang beltway project,this paper describes the composition design of porous concrete,and discusses the combination of construction machinery,technological process,QCS(quality control specification) and test detection of porous concrete permeable base.Also we do research on many technological parameters such as mixing,paving,molding,maintenance in the construction of porous concrete permeable base.This provides a reference on construction technology and its application.

To study the industrial technology for application of the C100 High strength and high performance concrete which is in freezing shaft lining of thick overburden, the industrial test of the shaft wall of high strength and high performance concrete is carried out under the engineering background of auxiliary shaft in Yuncheng coal mine of Juye coal mining area in Shandong Province. The verified laboratory testing results comported with the results of industrial technology from macro-mechanics, failure fractal, resultant morphology and pore characteristics. And the quality control system of high performance concrete and construction technology can be established. The results show that the experimental formula and construction technology of C100 high strength and high performance concrete can meet the requirement of field concrete shaft lining and achieve the high level of quality control. The industrial application and study results accord with the field requirement. Furthermore, the study results also provide experimental basis and industrial production data for industrial application of C100 high strength and high performance concrete.

According to the site condition of one of the oversea project located in the low-lying and swamp area, special fine sand with fine modulus in values of 0.42-0.62 was used to construct roads in the area through special workmanship and construction techniques. Bamboo materials are designed as piles and supporting system in a reasonable arrangement. The paper provides calculation details of the supporting system of bamboo materials, outlines the construction procedures and construction technique, and describes the contents of quality control and safety construction. It provides good references for road construction in low-lying and swamp areas in similar countries.

Quality control and quality assurance during horizontal directional drilling installations (HDD) is a topic that is gaining increasing interest and concern in the engineering community as HDD is becoming a mainstream construction technology. The paper describes a method for increasing the transparency of pulled-in-place trenchless installations using an array of sensors mounted within a protective casing, located ahead of the pipe product pull head. The data collected by the sensors, including pull-load and borehole pressure, is stored on a memory chip placed onboard the platform, thus creating a permanent electronic record of the installation. This data can be used by contractors, consultants and owners for quality control purposes and the improvement of design models and construction practices. In addition, real-time information can be provided to the operator, giving him/her the opportunity to detect potential problems in a timely manner so that appropriate mitigation measures can be taken.
