Among the various transportation systems, public transportation, especially Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), has a significant role in urban transport and has the mission of transfer of passengers and reducing travel time. In addition to these advantages, the weak and non-standard design and implementation of BRT lines result in an escalation of accidents and inefficiency. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the influential factors of the severity of BRT lines accidents before and after their construction. For this purpose, the accident data of Rasht BRT line 1 over the years of 2016 (before the construction of the BRT), 2017 and 2018 (after the construction of the BRT) have been analysed. The results showed that the construction of BRT has brought about 36 and 43 per cent reduction of accidents in 2017 and 2018, respectively, in comparison with 2016, and has given rise to the emergence of new accidents, such as collision with separator fence.

Recently, the trend of public transportation has evolved from traditional vehicles to intelligent transportation systems. Among many innovative systems, the development of group rapid transit (GRT) has become increasingly important. This study aims to explore the key acceptance factors for users to adopt GRT through three dimensions: technology, sharing, and experiential marketing (TSE). First, this study identifies variables under each construct of the TSE model through a literature review and interviews with experts, so as to understand what factors of the model impact users’ usage intention and continuous usage intention. Subsequently, through a questionnaire survey, the theoretical model is verified. The participants of the survey were users of GRT, and a total of 306 valid questionnaires were collected. Through structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis, the results indicate that technology does not significantly impact usage intention, as users may not fully understand GRT’s future developments; technology only affects continuous usage intention. Sharing also only influences continuous usage intention. These results show that the adoption of GRT may be gradual and long-term rather than short-term. Finally, experiential marketing has a significant impact on both usage intention and continuous usage intention. This implies that users’ experiences are vital in promoting innovative services, hence service providers should seek to not only improve the service but also enhance users’ trust in and support for the service.

This paper then made twenty creative pattern language to develop the city's green transport, including the characteristics of canal traffic and the bike and bus rapid transit system as the city's main mode of transport, to create a set of Boats, Buses, Bikes (3B Rapid Transit) in one of the three healthy, environmentally friendly urban transport network, reshaping the image of the city, another city of glory.

We examine the impacts of a sustainable urban transport initiative, the first Bus Rapid Transit System launched in Lahore, Pakistan in year 2013.Wemeasure the socio-economic and environmental impacts of theBRTusing aquestionnaire-based survey that collected informationon customers’ travel purpose, travel frequency, travel time, mode access, previous travel mode choices (pre-BRT) and travel mode choices at present. Weestimate that,on average,a BRTpassenger savesabout 46 minutes per day on a singletrip. However, the modal shift from personal automobiles to theBRT system is found to be only 4 percent, i.e.,significantlyless than the shift found in otherworldwide BRT systems.Moreover, weestimate the reduction inthenumber of private vehicles on roads, total distance travelled in km and associated travelling costs and,subsequently,the reduction in the carbonemissions. We concludethat the Lahore BRTtransit systemneeds to be expandedto other parts of the city.

Considering the increasing amount of traffic congestion and inconvenient travelling experiences a system needs to be designed to provide a hassle free travel which alleviates the travelling experience of the commuter and thrives them to choose this technology over any conventional implemented system or driving by own self. The system is designed to integrate a large number of areas together in order to create an efficient and economical system for the passengers to travel over long distances with comfort and safety. The Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) which is a public transport service is designed to mitigate the drawbacks of the previous systems as well as implement technologies in various domains including location tracking , communication services , monitoring and creating a detailed comparison with the conventional transportation services on multiple parameters in order to create a distinction and focus on the factors that make BRTS a much better mode of transportation as compared to the conventional transportation methods.

A sustainable urban transport system has become a unified part of development in any country. Public adequacy of sustainable transport measures is a challenge for developing cities such as Karachi, where mobility to all income groups of the society needs to be ensured without affecting Travel Time, Cost, and Environmental stability. A process of stratified sampling and detailed survey has been carried out to examine public attitudes towards transit system execution using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) tool, which enables to assess relevant performance parameters according to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system implementation and judge public opinion to shift from private vehicle to BRT. This paper investigates a comprehensive analysis of Public Perception regarding to the prospects of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system at Corridor III Karachi.

According to statistical data of Fuzhou City, using Delphi method and weight method, we established decision matrix of urban public transportation development mode and estimated the urban public transportation development mode. The result show that bus rapid transit system is the optimal public transportation mode for Fuzhou city, followed by conventional public transport system, then, for light rail system. And that bus rapid transit system matching with urban passenger transportation is good in Fuzhou city

Kathmandu is Rapidly growing city where the Crisis due to centralization is foreseen in Transportation sector due to lack of proper Planning and Vision prior of establishing settlement. The Current status of Transportation system in Kathmandu is quite alarming in absence of well-organized Public Transportation system. The growth of Vehicles and simultaneously lack of improvements of existing facilities and traffic management have resulted in unorganized improvement of Traffic thereby increasing congestion, accidents and decrease in vehicle speed affecting road capacity. So using managed Scientific system to decrease jam causing parameters with most planned system and replacing the existing Systems by modern facilities, the problem can be reduced. Introduction of Bus rapid transit by gradual replacement of old transportation systems by providing a bus lane can be promising remedial measure to optimize public transportation system in Kathmandu valley
