The purpose of this study is to appraise the integration or convergence issues influencing the mutual functioning of blockchain, AI, and IoT. The study argued that the recent developments in the field of IoT and blockchain prediction have involved the integration of innumerable classification schemes to establish a hybrid model. The introduction of the hybrid technique relies on the prediction performance that strives to override the limitations of any available architectural scheme. This study offers a comprehensive exploratory appraisal of the issues influencing the successful integration of IoT and blockchain in regards to functionality and effectiveness of security, trust, and flawless communication issues. The exploratory research methodology was used in analyzing the issues affecting the integration of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and the internet of things (IoT). The findings indicated that the integration challenges influencing the effective operations of blockchain, AI, and IoT as a single system involve security, scalability, accountability, and trust of communications. The study recommends that successful and effective integration will enhance the development of new business models as well as the digital transformation of market corporations. Accordingly, new approaches to convergence should ensure that executives address the new technology demands to obtain significant gains in efficiency.

In the recent years one of the major computing model in the Internet World is is Cloud Computing. It is giving birth to new business models and accelerating itself to technology adoption. It acts as a foundation for emerging technologies like the Internet Of Things (IOT). Cloud is used as a storage location. So, we can able to access the data stored in the cloud anytime and anywhere. Abstract Information technology has massively transformed the world of business over the past fifty years - first individual functional areas within companies (“first wave”), later increasingly also cross-divisional value-added processes and trade (“second wave”). Those companies that recognized the tremendous economic potential of these upheavals and consistently adapted, profited enormously - many others, however, fell dramatically. At the same time, innovative startups emerged that successfully created and occupied new markets. With the Internet of Things (IoT), the third digital wave is currently rolling up. Their impact will be enormous - both for our everyday lives and for many industries that have so far been largely spared the disruptive power of digital transformation. Accordingly, the challenges facing most companies today are: understanding more complex competition, acquiring new digital technologies, making existing offerings smart, developing new services, networking production, efficiently analyzing vast amounts of data, and building viable organizations to push all this forward. The IoT is a driver for digitization. By analyzing machine data, the use of sensors and the intelligent real-time processing of huge amounts of data in the cloud, new business models are created. With the information gained, companies are able to improve their value chain. However, one of the most difficult issues in this context for many companies is how they can further develop their existing business model or establish successful new business models that will be based on new technologies and IoT. To investigate resulting impacts, we draw on the existing business models and deduct specifics for the Internet of Things. Building on this, in order to reach the aims of the paper the authors will use a descriptive research method and a case study in order to present how new business models work with the IoT.

ABSTRACT There is a huge opportunity to develop new business models for the mining industry. Exploration and discovery must be based on a model of cooperation and collaboration rather than competition. Innovation and the development of new technology must be based on what we need to do to transform the business for tomorrow, in addition to what we can do today. Accelerated learning based on business simulations offers an excellent new approach to discovering what needs to be changed, to developing new and creative approaches to actually change our cultures of practice, and to implementing those changes as rapidly as possible. Simply put: we have to change our mindset to change our mine set.


Throughout this book, the authors have discussed the implications of the rise of artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, the internet of things, and new business models that do not have any known precedents. While discussing the skills needed to survive in the modern economy, they have yet to address the issue of what will become of our jobs. Will our children dream of the same jobs we dreamed once before? Will they require the same studies we had to follow to reach our actual positions? Will our jobs still exist by the time we reach the pension, or will we need to reinvent everything that we know of? The authors do not have an answer to these questions; what they can do is only make educated guesses about what is about to come and be ready for it. In this last chapter, the authors see what experts think our future will look like and give their educated opinion in what to invest in our lifelong learning journey to be on top of this unprecedented disruption of the economy.

AbstractBlockchain technology enables new ways of organizing economic activities, reduces costs and time associated with intermediaries, and strengthens the trust in an ecosystem of actors. The impact of this seminal technology is reflected by an upcoming research stream and various firms that examine the potential uses of blockchain technology. While there are promising use cases of this new technology, research and practice are still in their infancy about altering existing and creating new business models. We develop a taxonomy of blockchain business models based on 99 blockchain ventures to explore the impact of blockchain technology on business models. As a result, we identify five archetypal patterns, which enhance our understanding of how blockchain technology affects existing and creates new business models. We propose to use these results to discover further patterns fueled by blockchain technology and illustrate how firms can use blockchain technology to innovate their business models.

RFID is a key which enables technology for the Internet of Things paradigm, allowing the virtualization of the physical objects into the Internet. There are uncountable applications whereby these connected objects can be a breakthrough for new business models, and this work shows a good example of that. We present the RFID Presenter as the evolution of a classical consumer electronic product to a novel connected Internet product with the addition of the RFID technology. It supposes a new way to manage the conference talks in a personalization way, improving the end-user interaction and providing services that were impossible before. The design, implementation, and validation of a real gadget are well explained in order to give a real example of how the Internet of Things can be integrated into daily objects and enhance the end-user experiences.

Low-Touch Economy is emerging due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has caused dramatic changes in all aspects of society including the way business is operating. The lockdown policies aiming at avoiding the spread of the new coronavirus in almost every country led to disruptions in business continuity.The aim of this paper is to overview a new concept of Low-Touch Economy and its possible implications on Business Models in connection with the Digital Economy. The article also outlines the concept in light of the circular and sharing economic theories. The exploratory research approach allows reviewing the current literature and gathering secondary data about Low-Touch Economy and its implications on business dealings. The Bibliographic research of recent works shows the role of the Low-Touch Economy and Digital Economy in searching for new business models and their potential to accelerate economic recovery after the pandemic.The article concludes by suggesting that organizations should adapt their business models to the new reality. It contributes to a current ongoing discussion on ways out of the crisis. This article fulfills an identified need to study how Low-Touch Economy along with Digital Economy can help the business to continue operations during the pandemic and how the concepts underpinning business models can enable fast economic recovery. Future empirical research will reveal the capability of the Low Touch Economy in different industries as well as various countries around the globe.
