Construction project involves a complex array of specific interdependent activities, undertaken by multiple participants with contradictions of interests. It has phases to follow in its life cycle to meet the project’s objectives. Each phase will typically have multiple sub-phases and processes. The choice of technological and organizational solutions is carried out in the planning and design phase. Changes affecting any task (or the need to resolve conflicting elements of two or more tasks) can have a significant knock-on effect on the project’s success, regardless of the phase of the life cycle. This paper intends to develop an integral model of organizational and technological solutions, which allows to choose the optimal criteria for Burundian capital master plan as well as monitoring the quality of their implementation.

With the development of the city, the urban parks of the red revolutionary culture have been gradually recognized by people. Red culture can arouse people's special memory for a period and a city, thus gradually applying to the urban landscape planning. Based on this, in this paper, in terms of terrain, water, artificial structure, light and shade, color and so on, the urban park landscape of the red revolutionary culture was planned and studied. At the same time, by using a large number of successful cases of domestic red landscape and foreign commemorative landscape, a way of thinking and method for the design of red landscape was explored. In addition, taking the Wuzhishan red cultural theme park as an example, the study was carried out, and the problems faced by the red culture theme park in the planning and design stage were expounded. Finally, the theory was applied to practice, thus providing an example for reference.

The primary focus of this chapter is on the theory and concepts of sustainability and why they are important to innovation and vice-versa. Key reductionist approaches to assessing sustainability such life cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle cost analysis (LCCA), and sustainability indicators are discussed in detail and applied to an engineering infrastructure scenario. The integrated sustainability methods of life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis enable a business to assess alternative products or processes at the planning and design stages. They may also be used during the production stages to assess whether a business needs to use a different raw material to make their products. The role of management, social network analysis, and mental models of individuals in the diffusion and adoption of innovations are also explored.

Heavy duty machines consume a tremendous amount of energy during their life cycle. Therefore, designing an energy efficient machine is of great importance. This paper presents a method for the comparative life cycle assessment (LCA) of two different types of press machines: servo press and flywheel press to understand quantitatively the environmental emissions during their life cycles. To make a fair comparison of the two machines, the same amount of production is used as the basis for comparison. Assessment scopes and boundaries are defined first, then detailed product structures and manufacturing processes are investigated. After data collection from visiting enterprises, related project reports, academic papers, and commercial software databases, analysis of the life cycle inventory is performed. Comparative inventory tables for each life cycle stages and whole life cycle are presented. The results of the study can be used for decision making during the product purchase, planning and design process.

With the rapid development of the society and the economy, the scale of urban construction has been continuously improved, and the service supply of the agricultural transfer population in the city has become a problem that must be solved. Based on this, the planning and design of the public cultural service supply and the urban integration of the agricultural transfer population were put forward in this paper. First of all, the background of the study on the cultural needs of the current agricultural transfer population was expounded, and the planning and design of the current urban public cultural service supply was discussed; then the design of public cultural architecture was put forward on the basis of meeting the demand of agricultural transfer population; with the public cultural and architectural project in a city as an example, the planning of urban parks and cultural and art centers was proposed to provide reference for promoting the integration of agricultural transfer population.
