The text deals about the procedural institutes for the anticipated production of evidence and for the previous anticipated sentence, as foreseen in the Code of Civil Procedure, in the critical context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on practical examples in comparison with the theoretical analysis, it is emphasized that the stabilization of early guardianship adequately and conveniently shelters emergency and transitory situations. Likewise, the advance production of evidence proves to be an important instrument for the reconstruction of facts related to the impacts of the pandemic on legal relations, allowing interested parties to resolve disputes by self-composing methods or, through prior knowledge of the facts, better evaluate your chances of success in future demand, avoiding judicialization as appropriate. To achieve the desired goals, the inductive and deductive methods are applied, without prejudice to, at times, adopting dialectical discourse. The research is applied, qualitative, legal-exploratory and bibliographic.

We present a cognitive semiotic case study of the narrative potential of the statue Den lille Havfrue (‘the little mermaid’) by Edvard Eriksen in Copenhagen. On the basis of theoretical analysis and a survey in which 20 European and 19 Chinese participants replied to questions concerning this statue we argue that it, and similar statues, may be considered as products of intersemiotic translation, but only if we dispense with any requirements of “equivalence” between source and target, since statues are necessarily semiotically highly reduced. While the source narratives constitute cases of primary narrativity, with narrations providing the audiences with stories, statues may partake only of secondary narrativity, where a prior story is needed for the statue to be understood as narration. In our study, this was reflected by correlations between reported prior knowledge and narrative (and possibly even non-narrative) interpretations of Den lille Havfrue. Finally, we relate the discussion to present-day cultural and political “settings”, where many statues, including Den lille Havfrue, have become part of a global anti-racism narrative.

The table of contents of one of fundamental principles of the civil procedure — principle of official language of process, in connection with an acceptance and entry by virtue of a number of legal acts that newly determine the order of the use of official language in the process of administering law, was exposed to substantial transformation. Statutory possibility of the use of regional languages in the civil procedure lifts the whole layer of questions, that need both theoretical analysis and in a practical decision by judicial practice.

novel time-domain error separation method which can reconstruct straightness profile of workpiece exactly for on-machine measurement has successfully been developed. The proposed method is based on difference measurement and can use two or three displacement probes. It possesses following characteristics: (i) adapting to long or short workpiece, (ii) assuming no prior knowledge, (iii) employing large shears, (iv) needing no accurate zero-adjustment of probes, and (v) reconstructing various surfaces including smooth, non-smooth, periodic and non-periodic profiles with no theoretical error. The shortest length which can be reconstructed exactly has been calculated in time-domain method. The theoretical analysis justifies the effectiveness of this method.

The splitting effect that is observed in microdiffraction pat-terns of small metallic particles in the size range 50-500 Å can be understood using the dynamical theory of electron diffraction for the case of a crystal containing a finite wedge. For the experimental data we refer to part I of this work in these proceedings.

Patients who have undergone several sessions of chemotherapy for cancer will sometimes develop anticipatory nausea and vomiting (ANV), these unpleasant side effects occurring as the patients return to the clinic for a further session of treatment. Pavlov's analysis of learning allows that previously neutral cues, such as those that characterize a given place or context, can become associated with events that occur in that context. ANV could thus constitute an example of a conditioned response elicited by the contextual cues of the clinic. In order to investigate this proposal we have begun an experimental analysis of a parallel case in which laboratory rats are given a nausea-inducing treatment in a novel context. We have developed a robust procedure for assessing the acquisition of context aversion in rats given such training, a procedure that shows promise as a possible animal model of ANV. Theoretical analysis of the conditioning processes involved in the formation of context aversions in animals suggests possible behavioral strategies that might be used in the alleviation of ANV, and we report a preliminary experimental test of one of these.
