Analyses and methods in wheat quality determination require more sample, time, work and cost, thatswhy flour quality control needs rapid, reliable tools. Near-infrared spectroscopy has many advantages, which make it suitable in quality control. NIR instruments need calibrations to their work. In our study we examined gluten content, falling number, valorigrpahic waterabsorption, alveographic P/L and W value of wheat samples. Modified partial least squares analyses on NIR spectra were developed for each property. The results show that we got such calibration modells, which are able to predict the properties (expect falling number) with enough accuracy.

Product quality control is a prerequisite for ensuring safety, effectiveness, and stability. However, because of the different strain species and fermentation processes, there was a significant difference in quality. As a result, they should be clearly distinguished in clinical use. Among them, the fermentation process is critical to achieving consistent product quality. This study aims to introduce near-infrared spectroscopy analysis technology into the production process of fermented Cordyceps powder, including strain culture, strain passage, strain fermentation, strain filtration, strain drying, strain pulverizing, and strain mixing. First, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to measure the total nucleosides content in the production process of 30 batches of fermented Cordyceps powder, including uracil, uridine, adenine, guanosine, adenosine, and the process stability and interbatch consistency were analyzed with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) fingerprinting, followed by the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with partial least squares regression (PLSR) to establish a quantitative analysis model of total nucleosides for online process monitoring of fermented Cordyceps powder preparation products. The model parameters indicate that the established model with good robustness and high measurement precision. It further clarifies that the model can be used for online process monitoring of fermented Cordyceps powder preparation products.

Today, near-infrared (NIR) has been proved to be a powerful analytical tool. It has been applied widely in agricultural, petrochemical, textile and pharmaceutical industries. In this paper, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with partical least square (PLS) was used as a qualitative tool to rapidly determinate two active components in Fructus Corni. The PLS calibration model of NIR Spectroscopy, the correlation coefficients (R2) of Loganin and Morroniside were 0.95895 and 0.98450, the root-mean-square error of cross-validation (RMSECV), the Correction of deviation, the prediction mean square error was 0.0344,0.109;0.0625, 0.2641 and 0.0948, 0.233. The result shows that, the near-infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy could be used to determinate the content of Loganin and Morroniside, and meanwhile as a simple and rapid new method for the quality assessment of Fructus Corni. In addition, the NIRS has a unique advantage in the quality control of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), such as rapid, accurate, nondestructive and no pollution. It is expected to be further uses in the quality control of TCM. It is can achieve the requirement of rapid detection of large quantities of Fructus Corni.
