We present an overview of the morphological diversity and geographical distribution of the anostracan genus Dendrocephalus Daday, 1908, and describe two new species: D. aranai sp. nov. from Jequitinhonha in the state of Minas Gerais and D. xikrini sp. nov. from the Carajás Mountains (Serra dos Carajás) in the state of Pará. These species have important similarities to D. goiasensis Rabet & Thiéry, 1996 and D. thieryi Rabet, 2006, respectively, but differ from them and each other through a combination of characters that are essentially unique to the endopods, and frontal appendage branch 2A and branch 2D. We also partly redescribe D. carajaensis Rogers, Gomes & Vieira, 2012, which shows a particular intra-populational variability in branch 2A and 2D III of the frontal appendage, a type of polymorphism that was also recently observed in D. orientalis Rabet & Thiéry, 1996 and which must now be taken into account in taxonomy. In terms of the distribution of species of Dendrocephalus in Brazil, we suggest that several other species are probably present in the Amazonian, Cerrado and Pantanal Biomes, which remain largely unexplored. A new taxonomic key for the identification of males of the Brazilian species is provided.

Two new species of the genus Charinus are described from caves of Brazil: Charinus spelaeus sp. n., the fourth described species of the genus for the state of Minas Gerais, and Charinus santanensis sp. n., the sixth described species of the genus for the state of Bahia. Charinus spelaeus sp. n. has reduced median and lateral eyes, and is the sixth troglobitic Charinus described for Brazil. We present here an updated key and a distribution map for all the Brazilian species of Charinus.

Herein we describe two new species of lacewing in the family Dilaridae from northeastern Brazil: Nallachius furcatus, n. sp. and N. potiguar, n. sp. We also describe range expansions for three species: N. adamsi Penny, 1982 from Manaus to the border of the states of Amazonas and Pará; N. dicolor Adams, 1970 from the state of Santa Catarina to the states of Goiás and Minas Gerais; N. limai Adams, 1970 from Santa Catarina to Paraná. An identification key to adults and a checklist of Brazilian species are presented.

Lasioseius is a genus widely distributed across the continents, found in many types of hosts. Two new species of blattisociid mites from Brazil, Lasioseius jorgeamadoi sp. nov. and Lasioseius gabrielae sp. nov., are described based on the morphology of adult females collected on buds of cocoa plants, Theobroma cacao L. (Malvaceae) and inflorescences of ornamental plants (Heliconiaceae and Musaceae) in the State of Bahia, and collected on sugar cane, Saccharum officinarum L. in the State of São Paulo. A key for the separation of females of the 14 species of Lasioseius recorded in Brazil is provided.

The Hydrophilus (Dibolocelus) Bedel species from Mexico and adjacent areas are treated on the basis of the study of 142 adult specimens and published data. Two new species are herein recognized and described: H. (D.) nucleoensis Arce-Pérez & Arriaga-Varela sp. nov. from Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua, H. (D.) pseudovatus Arce-Pérez & Arriaga-Varela sp. nov. from Mexico. Three already known species are re-described and their geographical distribution is updated, H. (D.) ovatus Gemminger & Harold and H. (D.) pollens Sharp and H. (D.) violaceonitens Jacquelin du Val, a species resurrected as distinct to H. (D.) smaragdinus. Hydrophylus (D.) cf. purpurascens (Régimbart) is also redescribed but their identity is questionable. The lectotype of H. (D.) pollens Sharp is designated. Within Mexico, the state with the highest known diversity is Veracruz with five species. A key to the species of Hydrophilus (Dibolocelus) from Mexico and Central America is provided.

Two new species of the masarine genus Trimeria de Saussure are described from Brazil: T. robusta new species, from Minas Gerais and Bahia, and T. rubra new species, from Rondônia. Anecdotal information on nests of T. robusta is presented. A key to the identification of the Brazilian species is provided.

Two new species of Notomicrus Sharp, 1882 from Brazil are described and illustrated: N. meizon sp. nov. from the state of Amazonas and N. teramnus sp. nov. from the state of Minas Gerais. The new species can be distinguished from all other members of Notomicrus mainly by their aedeagal features, especially for N. teramnus sp. nov., with a unique aedeagal structure. In addition, new records from Brazil are provided for N. brevicornis Sharp, 1882 (states of Amazonas and Pará), N. gracilipes Sharp, 1882 (Amazonas and Rio de Janeiro), N. malkini Young, 1978 (Amazonas, Pará and Rio de Janeiro), and N. traili Sharp, 1882 (Amazonas, Goiás and Paraná).

Twenty six species of Scaphopoda, included in 12 genera and five families were identified. Within these, Fustiaria stenoschiza (Pilsbry & Sharp, 1897), Gadila pocula n.comb. (Dall, 1889); G. simpsoni n.comb. (Henderson, 1920) and G. pandionis (Verril & Smith in Verril, 1880) are recorded for the first time for Brazil and two new species of the genus Cadulus are here described. Besides that, six species previously recorded from north and northeast Brazil have their geographical range expanded southward: Antalis circumcincta (Watson, 1879), Episiphon didymum (Watson, 1879), Ep. sowerbyi (Guilding, 1834), Entalina platamodes (Watson, 1879), Gadila dominguensis (Orbigny, 1853) and Compressidens pressum (Pilsbry & Sharp, 1897). In the other hand, Paradentalium infractum n.comb. (Odhner, 1931) has its geographical distribution extended northward to the state of Maranhão (02ºS). Gadila acus (Dall, 1889) is proposed as junior synonym of G. dominguensis (Orbigny, 1853).

Of the 173 species of Peperomia in Brazil, 108 are endemic. Two new species of Peperomia are described from the state of Espírito Santo: P. aggregata and Peperomia spiritus-sancti, the latter one also occurring in Minas Gerais. Both species show characteristics of Peperomia subg. Leptorhynchum (Dahlst.) Trel. ex Samain. Illustrations and morphological comparisons are presented. Four new synonymies are proposed.

Two new species of the genus Stegoelmis Hinton, 1939, S. figueiredoensis sp. nov. from Amazonas State, Brazil and S. shepardi sp. nov. from Roraima State, Brazil and Saint Laurent Du Maroni, French Guiana, are described and illustrated based on adult specimens. This work also provides a taxonomic key to males of Stegoelmis species known from Brazil.
