Salah satu faktor dalam meningkatkan penerapan keselamatan pasien adalah ketersediaan dan efektifitas prasarana dalam rumah sakit. Early warning system (EWS) merupakan prasarana dalam mendeteksi perubahan dini  kondisi pasien. Penatalaksanaan EWS masih kurang efektif karena parameter dan nilai rentang scorenya belum sesuai dengan kondisi pasien. Tujuan penulisan untuk mengidentifikasi efektifitas EWS dalam penerapan keselamatan pasien. Metode penulisan action research melalui proses diagnosa, planning action, intervensi, evaluasi dan  refleksi. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah  perawat yang bertugas di area respirasi dan pasien dengan kasus kompleks respirasi di Rumah Sakit Pusat Rujukan Pernapasan Persahabatan Jakarta. Analisis masalah dilakukan dengan menggunakan diagram fishbone. Masalah yang muncul belum optimalnya implementasi early warning system dalam penerapan keselamatan pasien. Hasilnya 100% perawat mengatakan REWS membantu mendeteksi kondisi pasien, 97,4 % perawat mengatakan lebih efektif dan 92,3 % perawat mengatakan lebih efesien mendeteksi perubahan kondisi pasien. Modifikasi EWS menjadi REWS lebih efektif dan efesien dilakukan karena disesuaikan dengan jenis dan kekhususan Rumah Sakit dan berdampak terhadap kualitas asuhan keperawatan dalam menerapkan keselamatan pasien. Rekomendasi perlu dilakukan monitoring evaluasi terhadap implementasi t.erhadap implementasi REWS dan pengembangan aplikasi berbasis tehnologi

BACKGROUND Background: Despite the benefit it can give women, Maternal Education needs new tools that increase its effectiveness and scope OBJECTIVE To develop a multifunctional, personalized eHealth platform aimed at the self-management of health in relation to maternity METHODS The International Patient Decision Aid Standards (IPDAS) were applied. A website prototype was developed for implementation in the public health system using a collaborative action research process in which experts and patients participate, with qualitative research techniques as well as prioritization and consensus techniques. RESULTS A website is proposed which includes (1) systematically updated information related to clinical practice guidelines, (2) interaction between peers and users/professionals, (3) instruments for self-assessment of health needs as a basis for working on counseling, agreement on actions, help in the search for resources, monitoring and evaluation of results and (4) access for women to their clinical data and the option of sharing them with other health agents. These components, with different access requirements, would be permanently reviewed through iterative cycles depending on the frequency and effectiveness resulting from their use and would be accessible from any digital device CONCLUSIONS This public healthcare website would facilitate use, maintenance and effectiveness to increase quality of care without increasing costs. The participation of professionals and users in the creation of new tools will result in greater satisfaction with their use, with the decisions made, and with the decision process itself.

Ethnography has traditionally involved the sustained presence of an anthropologist in a physically fixed field setting, intensively engaged with the everyday life of the inhabitants of a given site, typically, a village or other small community. Conventional notions of the field, especially in anthropology which has been the premiere field-based discipline (see Amit, 2000; Gupta & Ferguson, 1997, 1992), involved basic assumptions of boundedness (the field was a strictly delimited physical place); distance (the field was “away,” and often very far away as well); temporality (one entered the field, stayed for a time, and then left); and otherness (a strict categorical and relational distinction between the outsider/ethnographer and the insider/native informant). The key mode of ethnographic engagement in the field was, and is, that of participant observation. When the Internet enters into ethnography, and when ethnography acquires an online dimension either in the research process or in the production of the documentary outputs of research, we end up facing a situation that leads us to reconsider relationships between the researchers and those who are researched. This is especially true of collaborative, action research projects that involve researchers and activists producing materials for the Web.

Artificial intelligence has impacted education in recent years. Datafication of education has allowed developing automated methods to detect patterns in extensive collections of educational data to estimate unknown information and behavior about the students. This research has focused on finding accurate predictive models to identify at-risk students. This challenge may reduce the students’ risk of failure or disengage by decreasing the time lag between identification and the real at-risk state. The contribution of this paper is threefold. First, an in-depth analysis of a predictive model to detect at-risk students is performed. This model has been tested using data available in an institutional data mart where curated data from six semesters are available, and a method to obtain the best classifier and training set is proposed. Second, a method to determine a threshold for evaluating the quality of the predictive model is established. Third, an early warning system has been developed and tested in a real educational setting being accurate and useful for its purpose to detect at-risk students in online higher education. The stakeholders (i.e., students and teachers) can analyze the information through different dashboards, and teachers can also send early feedback as an intervention mechanism to mitigate at-risk situations. The system has been evaluated on two undergraduate courses where results shown a high accuracy to correctly detect at-risk students.

SUMMARYThe recently published World Watch List for Domestic Animal Diversity (WWL-DAD) provides the first comprehensive list of endangered livestock breeds worldwide (FAO/LTNEP 1993). This document will function as a global early warning system to help prevent the erosion of livestock genetic resources. Seven species are covered, namely ass, buffalo, cattle, goat, horse, pig and sheep. Within these species, breeds at risk are defined as critical (The Critical Breeds List) or endangered (The Endangered Breeds List) based on the number of breeding females. Although the statistics for these seven species are still incomplete at the time of going to press, over 390 breeds are already known to be at risk.
