Abstract. This work describes geoserver-rest, an open-source python package that can manage the geospatial data in a geoserver which is helpful for uploading, editing, and deleting the raster/vector layers from various sources. It is also useful for generating the style/legend from the uploaded geospatial data. Thus, generated legend can be used for visualization of maps in the web-GIS platform. The package is successfully used to build the web-GIS portal for agricultural datasets of Afghanistan, which has around 6000 map layers. The main benefit that geoserver-rest provides to this project is the ability to upload the data to the geoserver and create the styles file dynamically. Thus, created style file are directly linked to the corresponding layer and provide the Web Mapping Service (WMS) standard and visualize in an interactive way.

AbstractSummaryWe present a new graphical tool for RNA secondary structure analysis. The central feature is the ability to visually compare/contrast up to three base pairing configurations for a given sequence in a compact, standardized circular arc diagram layout. This is complemented by a built-in CT-style file viewer and radial layout substructure viewer which are directly linked to the arc diagram window via the zoom selection tool. Additional functionality includes the computation of some numerical information, and the ability to export images and data for later use. This tool should be of use to researchers seeking to better understand similarities and differences between structural alternatives for an RNA sequence.Availability and implementationhttps://github.com/gtDMMB/RNAStructViz/wikiAuthor [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]

In this article, I introduce markstat, a command for combining Stata code and output with comments and annotations written in Markdown into a beautiful webpage or PDF file, thus encouraging literate programming and reproducible research. The command tangles the input separating Stata and Markdown code, runs the Stata code, relies on Pandoc to process the Markdown code, and then weaves the outputs into a single file. HTML documents may include inline and display math using MathJax. Generating PDF output requires access to LATEX and a style file from Stata but works with the same input file.
