The image generation and completion model complement the missing area of the image to be repaired according to the image itself or the information of the image library so that the repaired image looks very natural and difficult to distinguish from the undamaged image. The difficulty of image generation and completion lies in the reasonableness of image semantics and the clear and true texture of the generated image. In this paper, a Wasserstein generative adversarial network with dilated convolution and deformable convolution (DDC-WGAN) is proposed for image completion. A deformable offset is added based on dilated convolution, which enlarges the receptive field and provides a more stable representation of geometric deformation. Experiments show that the DDC-WGAN method proposed in this paper has better performance in image generation and complementation than the traditional generative adversarial complementation network.

We present a novel cortically-inspired image completion algorithm. It uses five-dimensional sub-Riemannian cortical geometry, modeling the orientation, spatial frequency and phase-selective behavior of the cells in the visual cortex. The algorithm extracts the orientation, frequency and phase information existing in a given two-dimensional corrupted input image via a Gabor transform and represents those values in terms of cortical cell output responses in the model geometry. Then, it performs completion via a diffusion concentrated in a neighborhood along the neural connections within the model geometry. The diffusion models the activity propagation integrating orientation, frequency and phase features along the neural connections. Finally, the algorithm transforms the diffused and completed output responses back to the two-dimensional image plane.

Tensor Completion is an important problem in big data processing. Usually, data acquired from different aspects of a multimodal phenomenon or different sensors are incomplete due to different reasons such as noise, low sampling rate or human mistake. In this situation, recovering the missing or uncertain elements of the incomplete dataset is an important step for efficient data processing. In this paper, a new completion approach using Tensor Ring (TR) decomposition in the embedded space has been proposed. In the proposed approach, the incomplete data tensor is first transformed into a higher order tensor using the block Hankelization method. Then the higher order tensor is completed using TR decomposition with rank incremental and multistage strategy. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to the state of the art completion algorithms, especially for very high missing ratios and noisy cases.
