Abstract In this study, the features of electrophoretic deposition (EPD) method to form nano-Al based energetic layers were investigated. The influence of solvents and additive components on the EPD process was analyzed, and the optimal composition of the suspension for the best deposition of layers based on nanoscale Al particles was acquired. The obtained layers can be used as an initiator of secondary reactions for on-chip energetic systems and a local heat source for joining surfaces by reactive bonding.

A microwave (MW) method of hydrothermal synthesis of magnesium silicate is developed. At low temperature (240 0C), nuclei of crystalline phase of магний silicate are obtained. Some optical characteristics of the synthesized product are determined. Based on, X-ray and thermographic studies are revealed that the synthesis of magnesium silicate from water-soluble salts of initial components in microwave ovens promotes the formation of magnesium at lower temperatures. MW synthesis of magnesium silicate ensures obtaining of nanosized powder after heat treatment at 850 0C.

For the development of new compositions of modified powder mixtures a comprehensive analysis of the technical characteristics of powder additives is required. The specific surfaces of nanosized powders of "Tarkosil" silicone dioxide were determined by the experimental method. Therefore, at present, the estimating relationships of sizes, particles shapes and specific surface area of nanosized powder is relevant scientific and practical task. And the particles shape was evaluated by the values of these surfaces. Using the method of small-angle scattering the functions of distribution of the modifying powders particles on their sizes were estimated, and the average values of particles size of "Tarkosil" powder were specified The particle shape of the modifying powders has been estimated according to the specific surface values. The particle shapes of T50 powders are close to isometric (a ball, a cube); particle shapes of T150 powders correspond to a tetrahedron, the particle size T80 and T110 corresponds to the intermediate value of the specific surface area.
