In this article, a generalized (3 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation (NLEE), which can be obtained by a multivariate polynomial, is investigated. Based on the Hirota bilinear method, the N-soliton solution and bilinear Bäcklund transformation (BBT) with explicit formulas are successfully constructed. By using BBT, two traveling wave solutions and a mixed solution of the generalized (3 + 1)-dimensional NLEE are obtained. Furthermore, the lump and the interaction solutions for the equation are constructed. Finally, the dynamic properties of the lump and the interaction solutions are described graphically.

We treat the lattice sine-Gordon equation and two of its generalised symmetries as a compatible system. Elimination of shifts from the two symmetries of the lattice sine-Gordon equation yields an integrable NLS-type system. An auto-Bäcklund transformation and a superposition formula for the NLS-type system is obtained by elimination of shifts from the lattice sine-Gordon equation and its down-shifted version. We use the obtained formulae to calculate a superposition of two and three elementary solutions.

Burgers-type equations are considered as the models of certain phenomena in plasma astrophysics, ocean dynamics, atmospheric science and so on. In this paper, a Sharma-Tasso-Olver-Burgers equation for the nonlinear dispersive waves is studied. Based on the Painlevé-Bäcklund equations, one auto-Bäcklund transformation and two hetero-Bäcklund transformations are derived. Motivated by the Burgers hierarchy, a Lax pair is given. Via two hetero-Bäcklund transformations with different constant seed solutions, we find some multiple-kink solutions, complex periodic solutions, hybrid solutions composed of the lump, periodic and multiple kink waves. Then we discuss the influence of the coefficients of the above equation on such solutions. Via the auto-Bäcklund transformation with the nontrivial seed solutions, we obtain certain lump-type solutions, kink-type solutions and recurrence relation of the above equation.

The main scope of this paper is to examine null Cartan curves especially the ones with constant torsion. In accordance with this scope, the position vector of a null Cartan curve is stated by a linear combination of the vector fields of its pseudo-orthogonal frame with differentiable functions. However, the most important difference that distinguishes this study from the other studies is that the Bertrand curve couples (timelike, spacelike or null) of null Cartan curves are also examined. Consequently, it is seen that all kinds of Bertrand couples of a given null Cartan curve with constant curvature functions have also constant curvature functions. This result is the most valuable result of the study, but allows us to introduce a transformation on null Cartan curves. Then, it is proved that aforesaid transformation is a Backlund transformation which is well recognized in modern physics. Moreover, motion of an inextensible null Cartan curve is investigated. By considering time evolution of null Cartan curve, the angular momentum vector is examined. And three different situations are given depending on the character of the angular momentum vector [Formula: see text] In the case of [Formula: see text] we discuss the solution of the system which is obtained by compatibility conditions. Finally, we provide the relation between torsion of the curve and the velocity vector components of the moving curve [Formula: see text]
