ABSTRACT We present spectroscopic confirmation of three new two-image gravitationally lensed quasars, compiled from existing strong lens and X-ray catalogues. Images of HSC J091843.27–022007.5 show a red galaxy with two blue point sources at either side, separated by 2.26 arcsec. This system has a source and a lens redshifts zs = 0.804 and zℓ = 0.459, respectively, as obtained by our follow-up spectroscopic data. CXCO J100201.50+020330.0 shows two point sources separated by 0.85 arcsec on either side of an early-type galaxy. The follow-up spectroscopic data confirm the fainter quasar has the same redshift with the brighter quasar from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) fiber spectrum at zs = 2.016. The deflecting foreground galaxy is a typical early-type galaxy at a redshift of zℓ = 0.439. SDSS J135944.21+012809.8 has two point sources with quasar spectra at the same redshift zs = 1.096, separated by 1.05 arcsec, and fits to the HSC images confirm the presence of a galaxy between these. These discoveries demonstrate the power of the Hyper Suprime-Cam Subaru Strategic Program (HSC-SSP)’s deep imaging and wide sky coverage. Combined with existing X-ray source catalogues and follow-up spectroscopy, the HSC-SSP provides us unique opportunities to find multiple-image quasars lensed by a foreground galaxy.

Abstract Aims : Secondary mitral regurgitation (MR) is associated with poor outcome in systolic heart failure (HF-)patients. Percutaneous edge-to-edge mitral valve repair (PMVR) recently failed to prove any beneficial effect over optimal medical treatment (OMT). Nevertheless, little is known about the effect of PMVR on LV performance and mechanics in HF-patients with severe secondary MR. Method and results Thirty-seven patients with severe secondary MR treated by PMVR were included and compared (according to indices of LV myocardial function) to nineteen patients with treated by OMT. Both groups were clinically comparable. At 6-month follow-up, only LV constructive work improve significantly in both groups (977 vs 1101 mmHg.%, p =0,003, 967 vs 1110 mmHg.%, p = 0,002 for PMVR and OMT groups, respectively) whereas left ventricular (LV) end-systolic volume index, LV ejection fraction and global longitudinal strain were not different. Compared to MITRA-FR and COAPT studies, our population had a proportionate MR (blue point in Figure 1, panel A). Figure 1-panel B demonstrate that only five patients of PMVR group had disproportionate MR (red points). Interestingly, these patients hadn’t any major event during 6 months FU. Conclusion Echocardiographic characteristics at 6-month follow-up are not different when compare PMVR and OMT for HF- patients with a severe proportionate secondary MR. A previous review of harmonic analyzes has been conducted at The Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa hotel, where there are many high non linear loads, resulting in harmonic distortions that have an impact on power losses. The current harmonic content of the electricity system at The Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa hotel does not meet the IEEE 519-1992 standard which results in decreased power quality. This research analyzes the steps of installing high-pass hybrid filter type to reduce harmonic distortion, analyze power losses using ETAP software. Analysis is performed before and after the installation of hybrid filters. The analysis result of hybrid filter simulation can reduce harmonic distortion with THDi value at SDP1 equal to 6,42%, SDP2 equal to 6,41%, SDP3 equal to 6,42%, SDP4 6,41%, and SDP5 6,42%. THDv value simulation results on all SDP before installation of hybrid filter that is 8.80% and after installation of hybrid filter that is 0,13%.

Let [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] be two disjoint sets of red points and blue points, respectively, in the plane in general position. Assign a weight [Formula: see text] to each red point and a weight [Formula: see text] to each blue point, where [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are positive integers. Define the weight of a region in the plane as the sum of the weights of red and blue points in it. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a line that bisects the weight of the plane whenever the total weight [Formula: see text] is [Formula: see text], for some integer [Formula: see text]. Moreover, we look closely into the special case where [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] since this case is important to generate a weight-equitable subdivision of the plane. Among other results, we show that for any configuration of [Formula: see text] with total weight [Formula: see text], for some integer [Formula: see text] and odd integer [Formula: see text], the plane can be subdivided into [Formula: see text] convex regions of weight [Formula: see text] if and only if [Formula: see text]. Using the proofs of the main result, we also give a polynomial time algorithm in finding a weight-equitable subdivision in the plane.

Suppose that red and blue points occur in Rd according to two simple point processes with finite intensities λR and λB, respectively. Furthermore, let ν and μ be two probability distributions on the strictly positive integers with means ν̅ and μ̅, respectively. Assign independently a random number of stubs (half-edges) to each red (blue) point with law ν (μ). We are interested in translation-invariant schemes for matching stubs between points of different colors in order to obtain random bipartite graphs in which each point has a prescribed degree distribution with law ν or μ depending on its color. For a large class of point processes, we show that such translation-invariant schemes matching almost surely all stubs are possible if and only if λRν̅ = λBμ̅, including the case when ν̅ = μ̅ = ∞ so that both sides are infinite. Furthermore, we study a particular scheme based on the Gale-Shapley stable marriage problem. For this scheme, we give sufficient conditions on ν and μ for the presence and absence of infinite components. These results are two-color versions of those obtained by Deijfen, Holroyd and Häggström.

In this paper the authors summarize experience of a drug service provider with the injecting use of novel psychoactive substances. Among clients of the needle exchange programme of Blue Point Drug Counselling and Outpatient Centre, the authors observed the spread of the novel substances since 2009. The extensive spread of the novel substances caused substantial change in injecting use patterns, thus in the usage of the needle exchange programme. The novel psychoactive substances appeared consecutively, so that this setting gave a unique opportunity to observe and track the emergence of these substances. The authors summarize the characteristics which are important for medical practice (risks, frequent use, severe psychopathological conditions) as well as special risks associated with these substances (substances with unknown composition and effect). They highlight the importance and role of the early warning system, monitoring the online sources of information and testing of samples containing novel psychoactive substances. Orv.
