The purpose of the article is to consider the methodological aspects of training music teachers in the class of a vocal ensemble. thanks to which they acquire skills and abilities that are logically correlated with vocal and pedagogical, choir tasks. It is emphasized that the main and specific component of his professional competence is primarily the ability to perform music, including vocal, which is the basis of his work on the musical development of members of a vocal ensemble or choir. The task is to reveal the main methodological aspects that are important in the process of ensemble performance, in particular, to achieve coherence, the balance of all components, harmonious sound of parts, individual vocalists, the whole group while singing. The methodology of the article is theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis, which characterize the main components of the role of each type of ensemble (intonation, metrorhythmic, diction), their organic combination, revealed the features of individual types of ensemble, the role and significance of each. It is noted that the pop vocal ensemble has specific features that characterize it as a kind of modern musical performance. He represents a new style in popular music, new forms of collective vocal performance (female, male, mixed; vocal-instrumental ensembles, rock bands, and pop groups, etc.). The scientific novelty of the work is the focus on the methods of working with a vocal group that seeks to develop their own, individual manner of performance. Conclusions. The rapid development of pop vocal performance, solo, and the ensemble has contributed to the fact that in recent decades in Ukraine has expanded the network of higher educational institutions for music and pedagogical training in "specialty singing", which provides the possibility of their professional activities as performers in vocal ensembles and, at the same time, as leaders of such collectives. and this requires proper methodological support of the educational process in institutions of higher professional education.

The article deals with the problem of the organization and functioning of a vocal ensemble as a means of developing the performing skills of students of higher educational institutions of a musical and pedagogical profile.  The criteria for the quality of training a future specialist for the effective implementation of his practical activities as a leader of a children's and youth vocal group are indicated. The purpose of the article is a theoretical substantiation of the content of work on the organization and functioning of the vocal ensemble of students as a way of developing their performing skills. Organization of a vocal ensemble is leadership and work on the functioning of a vocal ensemble as a creative team, the realization of its needs. Being an organized social group, the ensemble has a number of features, which include: creative self-development and the desire for creative interaction; increased self-organization and focus.

Briefly describes some issues of preservation of ethnic song heritage of Russians through adaptations of people's songs for various academic choirs. Several versions of interpretation of terms “adaptation”, “setting”, “arrangement”, and “transcription” outlined in classic musicological works are considered. Key design techniques of authorial adaptations of people's songs for academic choirs are analyzed. On the authors' opinion, adaptation of a Russian folk song for academic choir opens brand new performing opportunities, let to substantially enrich list of productions of any amateur or professional vocal ensemble. Arrangement lets not only to actualize primary source but also to create original source-based musical composition using various expressive means.

The professional development of a future teacher-musician involves not only the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities, but also personal self-improvement. The formation of a new type of teacher is possible only if the higher education approaches to real professional and pedagogical activities. Tasks of training of pedagogical staffs that meet modern requirements actualize the problem of development of vocal and performing skills of the future teachers-musicians during their studies at a higher education institution. To implement this task various forms of collective musical performance, aimed at integrating different areas of artistic life, are created. Among them vocal ensemble is one of the leading varieties of musical creativity. Educational discipline "Methodology of work with folklore ensembles" laid out for the master's students-degrees of musical separation of artistic faculty. Students can learn to manage their own voice, to develop creativity and have prospects for self-expression. Participation in the folk vocal ensemble helps not only to understand the musical material, but also learn to control voice, gestures, facial expressions, plastic body. In the process of activity of folk vocal ensemble developed the logical and creative thinking, musical talent, created some artistic images. Musical and theatrical activity contributes to the disclosure of the individual student identify his individual qualities, raising efficiency and discipline. Work on the culture of sound, breath, a sense of musical phrases possession of the breast and the main cavity, smoothing transitions register, development of natural sounding voice in contrast to imitate him – the basis of vocal and choral singers. This activates the creative process contributes to the education of various technical and performing skills, developing artistry, ability to transform in the performance of music of different genres, styles and character.

The article reveals the features of such concept as «The vocal ensemble future leader methodological competence». It is necessary to distinguish such concepts as «preparedness» and «competence». The essence of the following concepts was revealed: «competence», «pedagogical competence», «methodical competenc», the essence analysis and structure of the vocal ensemble has been carried out. The professional competence of a modern specialist is a complex multi-component concept. Researchers come to the common opinion that methodological competence is an integrative set of knowledge, skills, and abilities that characterize the personality and mediate the specialist professional experience, it is knowledge in the didactics field, teaching methods. Vocal training is a complex process, the training of the vocal ensemble future leader is impossible without it. The concept of «ensemble» is polysemantic. In musical performance - it means any joint performance of a musical work. Therefore, such combinations as trio, quartet, quintet, and others are called ensembles. The vocal ensemble future leader must know the theoretical material and be acknowledged about the methods of working with the vocal ensemble. In the educational-professional program 025.00.02 «Solo singing» of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education the program, general and professional competences are specified. The purpose of the program is to prepare a competent competitive artist of the ensemble, a teacher of primary specialized art schools, capable of concert-performing and vocal-pedagogical activities. Provide higher vocal education with the possibility of teaching in primary specialized art schools. Vocal-methodical competence is defined as mastery of the method of voice production, methods of development of vocal technique, singing culture, creative potential of the singer. Knowledge of the principles of classification of singing voices and the ability to correctly determine the type of singer's voice. Ability to design vocal and pedagogical repertoire for different types of singing voices (children, adults). Possession of methods of work on vocal exercises, vocals, vocal works of various form, genre, style. Ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the process of teaching solo singing in primary specialized art schools.
