Crop residues (CR) are an important, internally produced resource with several uses on smallholder, mixed crop-livestock farms, including livestock feed, mulch, fuel and construction material. This study sets out to develop a method to estimate the internal shadow value of CR as feed and as mulch for smallholder households. The study uses a South Asia case study as illustration using data from a set of village and household surveys in three different sites. The estimated shadow prices were higher for CR as mulch than for CR as feed at all three sites. These results reject the null hypothesis that the estimated shadow price for CR as feed is greater than the shadow price for CR as mulch. Since the null hypothesis was formed based on observing household behavior, the rejection of the null hypothesis implies that there are other reasons to explain why more households use CR as feed versus as mulch.

This study aims to determine the optimal benefits of small fish chips cork industry with limited available resources and perform sensitivity analysis on the optimal conditions For small industry profits cork fish crackers. Methods of data collection through census method. The data is taken from interviews with all members of the population. The population of small cork fish cracker industry is the one that cultivates both types (large packaged cork crackers and small cork fish crackers) as many as 15 small industries of cork fish crackers in Kota Raden Hulu Village, all of which were respondents in this study..       Based on a linear programming graphical method, showed that the optimal benefit small industries crackers catfish production occurs when a large parcel cork fish crackers (X1) 299.9373 as fish crackers cork wrap and a small parcel (X2) of 643.459 packs. While the number of optimal advantage of the production is Rp. 5,727,621, -.  The sensitivity analysis is known objective function coefficient limits the maximum and minimum for C1 and C2 as follows: The maximum limit for C1 (9.213,32 ≤ C1 ≤ 9.213,34), the minimum threshold for C2 (4.606,66 ≤ C2 ≤ 18.426,68). Analysis of resources and constraints shadow value indicates the function 1 has a shadow value of Rp. 57825.5.

A silhouette index is a well-known measure of an internal criteria validation for the clustering algorithm results. While it is a medoid-based validation index, a centroid-based validation index that is called a centroid-based shadow value (CSV) has been developed. Although both are similar, the CSV has an additional unique property where an image of a 2-dimensional neighborhood graph is possible. A new internal validation index is proposed in this article in order to create a medoid-based validation that has an ability to visualize the results in a 2-dimensional plot. The proposed index behaves similarly to the silhouette index and produces a network visualization, which is comparable to the neighborhood graph of the CSV. The network visualization has a multiplicative parameter (c) to adjust its edges visibility. Due to the medoid-based, in addition, it is more an appropriate visualization technique for any type of data than a neighborhood graph of the CSV.

New wheat-breeding techniques, such as hybridization and genetic modification, show increasing yield potential. This study involves estimating multi-output multi-input production technology by stochastic frontier techniques to evaluate the economic value of this yield potential. An input-oriented distance function is formulated and applied to European Farm Accountancy Data of 23 European countries. Based on the analysis, an average shadow value is derived for the increase in the marginal yield of wheat that corresponded to 18.87 €/ha. Further, technical change, technical efficiency, and returns to scale are measured for different European regions.
