Strengthening of the joints for the usual dislocation by means of fascial free plasty according to Josher'y was successfully performed in 4 cases on the shoulder and in 1 - on the patella by Girgolav (Zentr. F. Chir., 1926, No. 3).

Introduction: Arthroscopic debridement of the knee is usually considered a safe procedure. There are no case reports of medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) injury leading to habitual dislocation of the patella following this procedure in the literature. Case Presentation: A 35-year-old male presented with complaints of habitual dislocation of the left patella, which he noticed after multiple arthroscopic surgeries of the left knee performed elsewhere. He had a history of septic arthritis of the knee following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, for which he underwent arthroscopic debridement of the knee twice. After a detailed evaluation, we noticed MPFL medial patellofemoral ligament injury. Conclusion: The MPFL medial patellofemoral ligament injury occurred as a result of extensive resection of the medial joint capsule while operating for septic arthritis. This rare grave surgical complication emphasizes the care one should take during arthroscopic debridement of the knee. Keywords: Knee arthroscopy, complications, pyogenic arthritis, patella, dislocation.

Aim: to evaluate outcome following proximal realignment procedure in habitual patellar dislocation. Materials and Methods: prospective comparative study was conducted in the Department of Orthopedics Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur from jan 2019 to December 2019 among 18 patients who underwent proximal realignment for habitual patellar dislocation with a minimum follow up of 6 months and a maximum follow up of 2 years. Radiological assessment was done by measuring sulcus angle and congruence angle and pain was assessed using VAS scale. Results: mean age of the study population was 18.64 years and 55.6% were male and rests 44.4 were female. Mean pre and post operative sulcus angle (132.46, 132.58) and Congruence angle (62.86, 17.81). Two the cases showed recurrence. Conclusion: we conclude that following proximal realignment procedure for habitual dislocation of patella radiological parameters were brought back to normal. There were no significant changes in sulcus angle. Keywords: patella, habitual dislocation, outcome, proximal realignment

The aim of the study was the analysis of domestic and foreign medical literature of different time periods, which describes the basic methods of surgical and conservative treatment of congenital or habitual dislocation of patella, as well as statistical analysis of the results of treatment. Due to the existence of a large number of options of surgical treatment for this pathology (more than 150 methods were developed) and high variability of its manifestations, it is necessary to know the basic methods and their results for planning tactics of treatment with individual approach to each patient. Based on this review, analysis was performed for the results of using different options for invasive treatment of congenital or habitual dislocation of patella. Also, the paper contains the indications and efficacy of conservative therapy for this disease. A comparative analysis was made on the results of surgical and conservative methods of treatment of patellar dislocation, which were used in different time periods, from the initial description of the first results of treatment of this pathology to modern surgical techniques that are currently used. It is shown that all methods of surgical treatment of the pathology are divided into three main groups: myofascioplastic surgeries, osteoplastic and combined surgical interventions. It is underlined that the diseases requires individual approach to the choice of correction method in each certain case to achieve positive outcomes.

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is one of the most used joint of the body. Moreover, it is common knowledge that TMJ may show degenerative changes 10 years earlier than other joints. Recently, the use of arthroscopic surgery is revolutionizing the classic management of TMJ pathologies. In fact, the minimal invasiveness of this procedure allows faster results and fewer complications than other procedures. In this article, we present our arthroscopic technique. In this line, we would like to emphasize that we used this approach in different temporomandibular disorders such as anchored disk syndrome, habitual dislocation of TMJ, and internal derangement. Furthermore, we wish to underline that our efforts have been rewarded with great results.
