Cliptronic fabric is referred to as one of the most luxurious and complicated knitted fabrics because of the exceptionally complex yarn-cutting technique and Cliptronic jacquard structures. Cliptronic jacquard principles and the single-end selection mechanism were first studied to theoretically reveal its patterning algorithm. To realize computerized design, the pattern image was transferred to jacquard bitmap. Certain grid units were defined in a form of mathematical matrixes for representing offset data of jacquard elements, including half-gauge fall-plate, full-gauge inlay, and half-gauge yarn selection jacquard systems. Additionally, for generating superior and clear pattern contours, boundary grids which connect various jacquard effects required a further adjustment and a detailed designing discipline was concluded. The researched patterning algorithm of Cliptronic structures positively helps to expand product range and enhance fabrication efficiency.

In the construction industry there is no method for tensile testing of materials of basalt complex filaments of small diameters and roving. The existing methods of testing fibers and roving presented in regulatory documents are intended for textile materials and materials based on fiberglass. The studies cited in the article were aimed at studying the strength properties of roving materials and a multifilament yarn based on basalt fibers, as well as working out methods for testing them. The article presents studies of the strength characteristics of roving and complex yarn based on basalt fiber, on which testing of basalt material samples was tested. The strength characteristics of various forms of basalt materials for various adhesive processing were obtained. The applied experimental test procedure was appreciated positively.

Currently, auxetic yarns consisting of a core filament and a wrap filament are generally utilized as complex materials, which are attributed to residual torque. Thus, the main content dealt with in this paper was to analyze the structure formation and effect of heat treatment of helical auxetic complex yarn spun by a modified ring-spinning system. Firstly, an orthogonal experiment with three factors and three levels was carried out to study the effects of diameter ratio, yarn twists and initial helical angle on the structure and Poisson’s ratio of complex yarn. Secondly, a heat treatment process with polyamide filament with low melting point (80℃) was conducted to improve the structural stability of auxetic complex yarn. It was found that the heat treatment process can not only improve the structural stability of complex yarn, but also promote the expansion effect. By comparing experimental and theoretical results, it was found that the variation of Poisson’s ratio with axial strain had good consistency. Therefore, the heat treatment method can effectively solve the slippage problem of helical auxetic complex yarn.

Electronics products and communication equipment release electromagnetic (EM) waves in service. EM waves affect biological health and precision instrument accuracy. This study purposes to fabricate flexible conductive composite fabric which is made of complex yarn using metal (stainless steel, copper) fibers and PET filaments. Complex yarn is formed by a rotor twisting machine, at varying values of wrapped number (6.5-16 turns/cm) and lamination number (single-layer, double-layer). Results show that when the complex yarn was wrapped 16 turns/cm, volume resistivity reached 2.9 Ohm-cm and conductivity reaches 0.408 S/cm. Four layers of conductive composite plied with 0°/90°/ 0°/ 90° resulted in the optimum electromagnetic shielding effectiveness, up to 47.7 dB.

This research creates bamboo charcoal/spandex (BC/S) complex yarns from spandex and bamboo charcoal polyester textured yarn. In order to manufacture a BC/S complex yarn with better mechanical properties in tensile strength and strain, the expanded multiples of the spandex are changed, as are the wrap counts of the BC/S complex yarn and the speed of the rotor twister. The resulting spandex has a maximum breaking strength of 4.52 g/d when the expanded multiple is 3.5, and the BC/S complex yarn has a wrap count of 2 turns/cm. Furthermore, the maximum breaking elongation is 24.57% when the expanded multiple is 3.5, and the wrap count is 4.5 turns/cm. This paper also explores the ammonia gas adsorption properties (deodorization) of BC/S complex yarn, and discovers that polyester knitted fabric is capable of deodorizing 39% of NH3, while 1.2% bamboo charcoal/polyester knitted fabric can deodorize 53% of NH3, and BC/S complex knitted fabric can deodorize 55%-61% of NH3.
