Sensor networks that collect data from the environment can be utilized in the development of context-aware applications, bringing into sight the need for data collection, management, and distribution. Boards with microcontrollers, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi, have gained wide acceptance and are used mainly for educational and research purposes. Utilizing the information available via sensors connected to these platforms requires extended technical knowledge. In this work, we present a sensor management framework, SensoMan, that manages a collection of sensors spread in the environment connected to microcontroller boards. We present the framework’s architecture, a method for sensor data management, and a prototype system. Sensor data can also trigger the execution of actions on actuators. Thus, we further propose a rule engine as well as social connectivity following a scheme where sensors and their data can be shared among users. Our work shows that the creation of such a system is feasible and can use simple equipment (e.g., sensors, controller plugs) that can be replicated in other environments. The use of SensoMan is demonstrated via two scenarios that show its potential in combining simple tools that do not require an extended learning curve. A small-scale user study was also performed.

İnternet kullanımının büyük bir ivme ile arttığı son yıllarda internet sadece bir araştırma ve veri depolama ortamı olmaktan ziyade birer alış veriş merkezi haline dönüştü. E-ticaret olarak adlandırılan bu kavram iş dünyası pazarına farklı bir boyut kazandırdı. Özellikle sosyal medya siteleri son zamanlarda birden fazla e- ticarete dönüşmüştür. Gelişen e-ticaret dünyasında doğru müşteri kitlesine daha yüksek doğruluk payıyla ulaşmaya çalıştığımız bu çalışmada amaç sisteme yeni giriş yapan bir müşteriye eldeki mevcut ürünün satışı yapılabilir mi? Bu çalışma Knime platformu üzerinde KDD veri bilimi yöntemi adımları takip edilerek makine öğrenmesi algoritmalarından karar ağaçları kullanılmış ve öğrenme tiplerinden gözetimli öğrenme ile gerçekleştirildi. Bu çalışmanın scorer sonucu olarak %93,487 bir doğruluk payı elde edildi. Bu çalışmada veri setin üzerinde daha kolay çalışabilmek için Knime’nin düğümlerinden olan Rule Engine vasıtasıyla sözcük türünde aynı tür veriler sayısal veriye dönüştürülerek hem veri setinin daha kolay yorumlanması sağlanmış hem de veri seti üzerinde çalışılırken zamandan kazanç sağlanmıştır.

A major goal of future dCache development will be to allow users to define file Quality of Service (QoS) in a more flexible way than currently available. This will mean implementing what might be called a QoS rule engine responsible for registering and managing time-bound QoS transitions for files or storage units. In anticipation of this extension to existing dCache capabilities, the Resilience service, which maintains on-disk replica state, needs to undergo both structural modification and generalization. This paper describes ongoing work to transform Resilience into the new architecture which will eventually support a more broadly defined file QoS.

Software engineering is an engineering approach for software development. It is a discipline whose aim is the production of fault-free, delivered on-time and within budget software that satisfies the user's needs. Software engineering principles need to be followed to ensure a successful software development project. Within organizations that are involved in software development, the challenge is to select the appropriate process model for the software project. The objective of this chapter is to determine the factors which influence the process model selection. This chapter presents an automated framework for selection of process model using fuzzy-based rule engine and to bring more accuracy for choice of process model, J-48 decision tree was used considering factors as inputs. The user has to give characteristic value of the prioritized factor as input and on the basis of the rules, model is anticipated. The developed framework will be profitable for project managers, experts and venture pioneers in software companies.
