This paper proposes a Track-before-Detect framework for a multibody motion segmentation (named TbD-SfM). Our contribution relies on a tightly coupled tracking before detection strategy intended to reduce the complexity of existing Multibody Structure from Motion approaches. Efforts were done towards an algorithm variant closer and aimed to a further embedded implementation for dynamic scene analysis while enhancing processing time performances. This generic motion segmentation approach can be transposed to several transportation sensor systems since no constraints are considered on segmented motions (6-DOF model). The tracking scheme is analyzed and its performance is evaluated under thorough experimental conditions including full-scale driving scenarios from known and available datasets. Results on challenging scenarios including the presence of multiple and simultaneous moving objects observed from a moving camera are reported and discussed.

This paper presents an unconventional approach for motion detection using 3D image histogram sequence analysis. The idea of this approach is to remove the process of motion estimation into the field of 3D image histogram sequences by analysis of their statistical characteristics. A functional and statistical model of a system for motion detection has been created. The experimental results prove that the relationship between statistical characteristics of the 3D image histograms sequences and process of motion estimation is a guarantee for creating a reliable and high precision motion detection system as well as for image compression using 3D entropy functions analysis. Such a system can be used for security control of banks, airports, military objects, embassies, shops etc.

Traffic congestion and violation of traffic rules are very common in most of the road transport system. Continuous monitoring is becoming difficult. To improve the quality of road transport monitoring and control, the best possible alternative is machine vision. In this review, several works by researchers on traffic analysis are detailed, studied and reviewed critically for the purpose. Further, an attempt is made to classify the different road traffic analysis approaches available in the literature. Classification is based on principle used, algorithm adopted, techniques used, technology behind and other special considerations of the researchers.
